We’re looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to join our global Digital Marketing team. This role is focused on hands-on campaign execution across paid social and programmatic channels, helping Storytel reach and engage new audiences.
You will spend most of your time in Smartly.io and DV360, making sure campaigns are launched correctly, run smoothly, and deliver against our goals. You’ll also support campaign execution directly in advertising platforms like Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Snapchat Ads Manager, Reddit Ads Manager, and Pinterest Ads Manager when needed.
This role is suited for someone who enjoys being close to the tools, ensuring campaigns go live without issues, and collaborating with both our central Digital Marketing team and local marketing teams.
What you’ll do
Set up, launch, and monitor campaigns in DV360 (programmatic: YouTube & Display).
Execute paid social campaigns, primarily via Smartly.io, and occasionally directly in platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, and Pinterest.
Ensure campaigns are launched on time, error-free, and in line with creative and targeting briefs.
Troubleshoot campaign delivery issues, checking tracking, creative uploads, and targeting accuracy.
Collaborate closely with the Digital Marketing team and local market teams to support flawless execution.
Assist with campaign optimizations and reporting where needed.

About the Role

You’ll be part of an engineering team that works with cutting-edge technologies alongside experienced colleagues. Your main tasks will be designing, building and maintaining toolchains and workflows that help our teams manage the full life-cycle of their systems. This includes:
Building tools, libraries for our common languages, templates, automation, and configurations.
Working with observability, deployment pipelines, quality assurance, availability, machine learning and more.
Guiding developers in their daily work on how they best utilize the tools provided by the team.

About You
To be successful in this role, we believe that you have:
At least 3 years of experience as a software engineer, platform engineer, or equivalent. You’re experienced in developing in Java or Go.
Experience and a keen interest in working in the Developer Experience (DevEx) area. For example, deployment pipelines, observability & monitoring, quality assurance, automation, self-service, and runtime platforms.
Experience working with container technologies, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
Experience working with Cloud Service Providers - Google Cloud Platform, Azure or AWS.
Ability to communicate professionally in English (written and spoken).

Working with Databases - My, Postgres, etc.

Storytel is seeking an experienced, full stack Chief Marketing Officer to lead the business through its next phase of growth. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a full-funnel marketing strategy encompassing every stage of the Storytel customer lifecycle journey. They will work with Storytel’s wider management team to unlock new, creative ways to expand Storytel’s audience and develop and execute a clear internationalisation strategy across the EMEA and North America regions.

Candidate Requirements
The incoming CMO will bring:
10+ years of marketing experience in a management or entrepreneurial role of significant scale, relevant to Storytel’s context - candidates may bring this from the streaming industry or the wider entertainment sector, ideally with subscription experience.
Deep understanding of product-led businesses that have frequent repeat purchases and a strong focus on acquisition and retention.
Proven experience of operating on a global basis with solid knowledge of differing consumer behaviors and success in influencing consumer and business behaviors across geographies.

About you

- 5+ years of proven professional experience working in product- or service design, developing state-of-the-art digital products and services
- Fluent or on a professional level in English, both written and spoken
- Experience of having end-to-end responsibility for the user experience
- Experience of visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity, from high-level wireframes or mock-ups to conceptual presentations to highly technical documents and diagrams

The Android Platform team is responsible for making sure the app is top quality in all aspects, from architecture, UI, automation, testing, CI, tooling, and much more.

We use the Jetpack Libraries extensively and take full advantage of everything kotlin has to offer, from build scripts to UI. We are using coroutines and flows extensively. A lot of our UI is written with Jetpack Compose with our own in-house design system completely written in Compose.

As the Global Head of Performance Marketing, you will be responsible for both user acquisition and brand building in paid online channels. In the role as a finance administrator at Storytel, you will work closely with your colleagues in the royalty team with the core object of keeping the information within our royalty system updated and in time for our deadlines. This includes tasks such as importing sales data, title registration, managing agreements and making payments. You take part in and play an important role during our quarterly and year-end procedures. Who are you?

What you need:

- You learn new things quickly, like languages, platforms or frameworks
- You love writing high quality, readable and maintainable code
- You have a good understanding of CI/CD
- You have experience with working on at least 3 different platforms (e.g. web, mobile, native desktop, etc.)
- You are comfortable interacting with REST APIs
- You understand the importance of having your code covered by tests
- You have experience with Git or other version control systems

About the role

As a tester at Storytel you will work with experienced testers and developers across a wide field of technologies. Our team works with Mobile apps development, Backend development, Web development, DevOps and more. We are a quality-focused organization that encourages everybody regardless of role to test our products as well as formal testers that enhance the organic testing efforts. We are looking for testers that are interested in learning and have an interest in sharing their knowledge. We have a strong sharing culture at Storytel and nurture creativity.

We have our headquarters in Stockholm but our agile teams are distributed between Stockholm, Lund, Umeå, Karlstad, and Copenhagen. You can work out of any of those offices.

What will you do?

- Develop a test strategy and reusable test plans for our mobile apps and website
- You will find, document and report bugs
- You will organize regression tests for major web page and app releases.
- Work closely together with product owners
- Being a bridge between development teams, product owners and other departments
- Facilitate testing in your team, bringing a quality mindset
- Help identify opportunities for test automation
- Be part of our company-wide test club


Your Qualifications

You are a QA tester with a strong quality mindset. You are seeking personal growth and a continuously improving team. You love to automate processes and care for a high-quality product. You speak and write English fluently. We work using agile methodologies in small, cross-functional teams that you will be an important part of.

In addition, we hope you have experience in

- Testing web-based applications
- Testing mobile applications
- Testing APIs, microservices and databases.
- Working in an Agile environment
- Designing and implementing a quality-focused testing process.
- Working independently and efficiently


Beneficial experience

- You have a programming background
- You have experience with non-functional testing tools and methods such as load, security and stress testing.
- You have experience with automating the test effort either in setting up/building an automation framework or within an existing one.
- You’re comfortable in Linux environments and Docker
