Description / Purpose:
The school's MYP coordinator has a key role to play in the development of the MYP at the school.
Duties/Responsibilities for the MYP Coordinator Role:
Coordinates the school’s MYP programme (grade 6-10) in collaboration with the Head of Learning and Educational Leadership Team (ELT).
Plans, implements, evaluates, and develops the programme in collaboration with Subject Leaders and the Head of Learning.
Administers, develops, and leads the implementation of the programme in line with the guidelines of IB MYP Principles into Practice and the IB Mission Statement.
Maintains all relevant documentation concerning the MYP.
Ensures that teachers are informed and follow IB regulations.
Supports teachers in all facets of the operation and organisation of the MYP.
Organises/chairs/participates in meetings within the MYP programme.
Plans for professional development needs.
Informs parents and students about the programme.
Ensures, in collaboration with the MYP teaching team, that students adhere to the general principles of the IB MYP philosophy.
Cooperates with the DP, PYP coordinators, and Head of Learning to ensure progression within the programmes.
Has regular meetings with the ELT.
Ensures that the assessment and reporting are implemented according to IB MYP standards.
Organises IB evaluation visits to SIS together with the Principals and Head of Learning.
Teaches a minimum of two courses in grades 6-10.
Works with students and teachers to communicate and enforce the academic integrity policy.
Responsible for external and internal examinations and other official communications with IB, assisted by the Head of Learning.
Duties/Responsibilities Teaching Role:
A teacher is responsible for the preparation, instruction and follow up involved in teaching the designated curricula. A teacher also has the following duties and areas of responsibility:
The academic, personal and social welfare of students.
Assessing learning and grading all students in relation to the curricula.
Informing parents with regard to academic and social questions.
Actively participating in Parent/Teacher/Student conferences.
Comfortable with the use of technology in the classroom, for example the use of ManageBac, Google Classroom, Seesaw, etc.
Ensuring that student attendance is checked and recorded in accordance with the security regulations of the school.

Required Qualifications and Attributes:
A university degree.
A degree or certification in Education.
Extensive experience (five or more years) as an IB MYP teacher and a deep understanding of IB MYP requirements.
Self-motivation, creativity, and enthusiasm.
Experience and flexibility working in an international school environment.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
A strong ability to establish good rapport with students and adults.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to view students with unconditional positive regard.
Ability to show initiative and to work independently.
Ability to work under pressure.
Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Contract :
General Fixed-term Contract
Allocation: 100% (50% MYP Coordinator & 50 % Teaching position in Science, English or I&S with an Advisory).
Starts: August 7th, 2026
Ends: June 15th, 2027
Salary:
Fixed base salary (from the salary scale) with an additional stipend of 3200 SEK/month for the Coordinator position.
