Description:
The Vice Principal has a key role to play in SIS achieving its Vision and Mission. The Vice Principal will concentrate on both students’ learning and well-being, and ensure that the daily operations of that section of the school support these.


Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a professional knowledge of the principles and practices of leading learning in a school and supporting and modelling Professional Learning.
Collaborate with the Primary Principal and PYP Coordinator to develop strategies that enhance the effectiveness and welfare of the Primary staff.
Promotes a welcoming environment for members of the wider community into the school - such as parents and visitors.
Works collaboratively as a member of the ELT (Educational Leadership Team).
Creates an atmosphere that encourages learning.



Communication
Coordinates the logistics of Primary section events (such as information evenings, open houses, assemblies, and coffee mornings) for the students, parents, staff and members of the wider community.
Deals with the minor and/or recurrent behavioural and disciplinary cases that might arise in the Primary School in accordance with SIS Behavioral Expectations.
Briefs the Primary Principal on all matters of significance pertaining to the Primary School Students.



Staff
Directly oversees the work of the Primary school Teaching Assistants as the Line Manager.
Implements the school’s agreed approach to PDSE/Development Talks for all Primary Teaching Assistants in collaboration with the ELT & SLT.
Leads the selection of Teaching Assistants, Student-Teacher Interns and short-term visitors/partnerships in collaboration with the Director & Primary School Principal.
Ensures that the Primary School Teaching Assistants receive appropriate support and resources in the performance of their duties.



Administration
Holds regular meetings with Teaching Assistants to deal with matters of interest and significance relating to the work of the Primary.
Attends necessary meetings with staff and PYP Coordinator to deal with matters of interest and significance relating to the work of the Primary.
Works with the Educational Leadership Team in the construction of the whole-school calendar.
Ensures on an ongoing basis that dates for all activities specifically involving the Primary are entered into the calendar and promoted accordingly.
Collaborates in the development of the Primary School in line with the school’s strategic plan.
Ensures appropriate coverage and supervision of break and non-lesson duties of the Primary staff.
Proofreads the student reports and student awards (as well as any issues arising from those).



Required Qualifications and Attributes
Has previous experience in a leadership position within a Preschool or Primary School section.
Has previous successful experience with IB PYP or an internationally-based curriculum.
Holds a university degree, either a BA in Education or Teaching qualifications.
Demonstrates strong team leadership, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Description / Purpose:
The school's MYP coordinator has a key role to play in the development of the MYP at the school.
Duties/Responsibilities for the MYP Coordinator Role:
Coordinates the school’s MYP programme (grade 6-10) in collaboration with the Head of Learning and Educational Leadership Team (ELT).
Plans, implements, evaluates, and develops the programme in collaboration with Subject Leaders and the Head of Learning.

Qualifications & Attributes

Experience in an international or multicultural school environment is preferred.

Description
The Substitute Coordinator & Administrative Support is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations related to teacher absences, substitute allocation, and front-desk coordination. This role requires strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and the ability to adapt quickly to unexpected changes in staffing.


Duties/Responsibilities
Begin duties early each day to coordinate substitute requirements and allocations, ensuring all absent, sick, or away staff have appropriate class coverage from 06:00-7:30am.
Forward emailed lesson plans to substitutes when confirming their availability and appointments.
Monitor and update Substitution Allocations and Staff In/Out/Absent Google Documents daily.
Recommend substitutes for other assignments, including recurring or monthly cover.
Coordinate substitute requests for the following day and respond promptly to urgent requests received during the working day.
Print lesson plans and worksheets for substitutes as instructed by teachers, ensuring materials are ready for use.
Support and introduce new substitutes to school procedures, expectations, and policies.
Instil and oversee feedback policies to ensure quality and consistency in substitute teaching.

Administrative Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and update a daily Excel report with:
Substitute names, assigned tasks, and sites, absent staff details and reasons for absence, Time in/out records, Differentiation between teacher cover, TA cover, or extra duty.
Share daily reports with HR and the Payroll Manager.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date absence list for all staff.

Reception & General Administration
Provide front-desk support, including:
Managing communication via ManageBac and 3Växel.
Handling inquiries from parents, guardians, and staff.
Contact parents if students need to be picked up.
Answering phones and assisting with general inquiries.
Take on other administrative duties as required, including covering the reception desk.

The Educational Assistant will be responsible for providing assistance and supervision to an individual student and may provide individualized instruction.

Job description
Your role will involve supporting the work of the science teachers and their students. This includes providing technical support, ensuring that equipment is functioning properly and is ready to use, and preparing materials for particular lessons. You will work closely with teachers to help prepare practical lessons, and support teachers and students in carrying out practicals. You will also assist individual students on research projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Liaise with science teachers to discuss timetables, equipment requirements and work plans.
Coordinate work in the laboratory classrooms.
To prepare, set up and clear away all chemicals, apparatus and equipment necessary for the laboratory lessons.
To assist Upper school students with their individual projects
To prepare chemical solutions where necessary.
To manage all necessary cleaning, care and repair of all equipment - from test tubes to microscopes.
To maintain the laboratories in a clean and tidy condition.
To keep cupboards / drawers clean and stocked as required.
To be responsible for the general security of and safety within the department.
To ensure that all health and safety procedures are understood and followed correctly.

Expected qualifications and experience:
Degree in Science
Previous work in a school and laboratory environment is preferred.
Strong practical and organizational skills with the ability to use initiative.
Excellent communication and administrative skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION :
The Educational Assistant will be responsible for providing assistance and supervision to individual student and may provide individualized instruction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implementation of direct instruction from the LS teacher/Case Manager

A Learning Support teacher helps design and implement interventions for students with learning needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Collaborating with the subject teachers to set targets and strategies and accommodations needed by the identified students.
Create individualized, strategic lessons and interventions for the student
Help students to cope with and overcome problems that arise because of learning difficulties.
Use adaptive technology and targeted intervention programs to maximise individual learning potential.
Work with students within a class and in small groups
Progress monitor and collect data to measure student progress and appropriateness of student support.
Planning, collaborating and implementing ILP’s.
Adapting MYP program and conventional teaching methods to meet individual needs.
Working as a team-member within the Department and wider school staff and liaising with other relevant individuals such as educational psychologists, parents and other specialists that compose a multidisciplinary team.

Position summary
A people-facing role combining project coordination work primarily in events and communications, with support for the team and the Advancement Director in all aspects of advancement.
There are two Advancement Officers in the team working closely together and work is shared based both on workload and specific skill-sets and interests.
Key responsibilities
Act as either project lead or project support in delivering an annual programme of events and meetings designed to cultivate and/or steward the School’s key stakeholder groups. These include both events which are repeated every year and ad hoc meetings and conferences.
Develop and deliver an annual engagement plan of events and meetings to support the School’s strategic plan and advancement priorities.
Liaise with SIS Parent Community to support activities that build community spirit and achieve advancement goals within the school.
Build and manage a team of student ambassadors to support internal community events and activities.
Act as the first point of contact for alumni, handling enquiries and managing communications to the network. Assist the alumni groups who wish to arrange reunions on or off campus.
Contribute to the Advancement team content planning process, ensuring opportunities for promoting community events and activities are taken across all SIS channels. Attend weekly content meetings chaired by the Communications Officer.
Manage the SIS Shop (including ordering new products, keeping track of sales and stock levels, responsibility both for the web shop and pop-up sales)
Conduct tours for prospective parents during peak times.
Provide communications support for admissions colleagues to ensure a clear and welcoming family journey for prospective and current families.
Arrange open houses and mobility contact meetings.
Manage external hiring of campus facilities.
Keep up to date with professional best practice and promote best practice throughout the team and the School.

In addition to the above areas of responsibility the position may require other reasonable duties relating to the scope of the position. The post holder will at times be required to work outside of normal office hours and/or weekends. Additional duties as well as working outside of office hours should be authorised by the Advancement Director.
Qualifications, attributes and experience:
Educated to degree level in areas such as event management, communications, administration, project management or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Experience using a CRM and project management platforms.
International background or experience is desirable.

JOB DESCRIPTION: A Learning Support teacher helps design and implement interventions for students with learning needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborating with the subject teachers to set targets and strategies and accommodations needed by the identified students.
Create individualized, strategic lessons and interventions for the student
Help students to cope with and overcome problems that arise because of learning difficulties.
Use adaptive technology and targeted intervention programs to maximise individual learning potential.

Summary
The Library Media Center specialist has a key role to play in ensuring daily functioning and strategic development of the Learning Commons in order to enhance student learning at SIS. In this work, the Library Media Specialist closely cooperates with technology integrators and teachers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Modeling and promoting effective uses of the LC resources for learning and teaching.
Consulting and planning with teachers to embed Learning Commons resources and technology in classroom curriculum to enrich student learning.
Instilling the joy of reading and increasing literacy at SIS by organizing different activities within and outside the LC.
Coordinating and set-up special events to create a culture of reading throughout the school (for example, the Book Fair which is coordinated through collaboration and planning with the SPC.)
Making the LC an inviting, student-age-appropriate learning space.

Assisting in collection development and management of books, periodicals, e-books, and other student resources.

Planning, developing and encouraging selection and purchase of age/interest-appropriate literary and media materials in collaboration with students and staff.
Regularly communicating with classroom/advisory teachers to plan, resource, and co-teach library and research skills during library lessons.
Attending collaborative planning meetings with classroom teachers.
With the support of technology integrators, working with students in groups or individuals in the development of media and tinkering skills, help with reference work, selection of books, and online reference searches.

Qualifications, Attributes, and Experience:
Minimum 3 years of qualified teaching experience.
Librarian and technology skills.
Passion for literacy development
Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
The ability to work effectively in a team.
The ability to show initiative and work independently.
The ability to function effectively under pressure.
The ability to establish a good rapport with children and adults.
Pleasant and friendly personality.

The successful applicant would ideally have a working knowledge of the IB PYP Programme. Experience working with students from diverse cultures and countries would be an advantage.

Qualifications and Experience the teacher is expected to have
Teaching qualification.
Qualifications in the area of Swedish Language: Lärarlegitimation Svenska i Grundskolan.
Experience as a teacher.
