Example of responsibilities

Work closely with the Release Manager on the end-to-end release process, ensuring manifests, store setups, products, offers, and rotations are correctly configured for each release

Use Unreal Editor and online configuration tools to set up and verify game content, including events, raider decks, map conditions, and other scheduled or calendar-driven updates

Manage all timed content, such as in-game events, rotations, and live updates, ensuring quality is being reached on a release basis

Facilitate testing efforts by ensuring builds are ready for QA, tracking test coverage, and following up on critical issues to maintain high release quality

Coordinate Unreal Engine related tasks, including validating settings, tags, packaging requirements, and any release-sensitive configurations

Maintain accurate release tags, documentation, and checklists to keep the live operations pipeline smooth and predictable

Partner with the Release Manager on day-to-day tasks, helping track progress, surface risks early, and keep teams aligned

We would love if you have

A creative and curious mind

3+ years of experience in production, QA coordination, release operations, or a similar role in games

Familiarity with PC release processes; console experience is a plus but not required

Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to keep teams aligned and details under control

A proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented mindset, with a natural instinct for spotting blockers before they escalate

Comfort working in fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environments—paired with the ability to bring clarity and structure

A passion for video games, especially live service or cooperative titles, and curiosity for how updates are built, tested, and delivered

Professional English communication skills.

This is an on-site role, and we are only considering candidates already residing in Sweden.
At Embark we offer competitive salaries, passionate colleagues to share knowledge with and much more, but most of all we invite you to take part of a journey into the unknown, to build creative, surprising and beautiful experiences together.

As a Gameplay Engineer on Embark's Machine Learning team, you will help shape the future of storytelling tools and systems for video games.
We believe modern AI can unlock entirely new creative workflows for narrative design, quest building, lore creation, and player-facing reactivity. Our goal is to investigate how we can design new tools and systems that enable creators to be more ambitious, collaborate more effectively, and explore ideas with less friction rather than simply automating existing workflows.
In this role, you will build gameplay-facing systems, tools, and integrations that make AI useful in real production environments—practical, controllable, debuggable, and aligned with the creative vision. You'll work closely with writers, researchers, designers, and other engineers to explore different levels of AI agency to intentionally design where AI agency makes sense and where it doesn't.
This is a role for someone who is excited about creative tooling, loves building things that people actually use, and is genuinely enthusiastic about what new AI techniques can enable in games.
Example of responsibilities

Build gameplay systems and tools that enable new narrative workflows and faster iteration for creators

Collaborate with designers and narrative teams to understand creative needs and turn them into intuitive tooling

Develop engine integrations and "hooks" that expose the right information for analysis, validation, and experimentation

Create debugging and diagnostics workflows that make complex systems understandable and easy to iterate on

Work with writers and designers to explore and prototype AI-native gameplay mechanics that preserve authorial intent while enabling emergence and reactivity

Prototype experimental features quickly, then help mature the best ideas into robust production-ready solutions

Help design and evaluate different degrees of AI autonomy, balancing creative ambition, reliability, and control

Help ensure AI-assisted workflows remain controllable, transparent, and human-driven

Work across disciplines to integrate tools into real game development pipelines, not isolated demos

We would love if you have

Strong gameplay engineering experience and excellent C++ skills

Experience working in Unreal Engine

A passion for tooling, iteration speed, and developer experience

A creator mindset: you enjoy building systems that make other people more effective

Comfort collaborating with designers and translating creative goals into technical solutions

Professional English communication skills

Additionally, it's a bonus if you have

Experience building editor tools or content workflows in Unreal Engine

Familiarity with language models, AI tooling, evaluation, or "human-in-the-loop" creative systems

Experience with narrative systems, quest pipelines, or other creator-driven game features

Python experience, or interest in working across engine + services/tooling

At Embark we offer competitive salaries, passionate colleagues to share knowledge with and much more, but most of all we invite you to take part of a journey into the unknown, to build creative, surprising and beautiful experiences together.
We welcome game makers of all sex, class, colour, age, gender identity, education, religion, opinion, culture, nation of origin, language, sexual orientation, shape, size, and ability.
Did we leave anyone out? Well, we welcome you, too! We think that the gaming industry is made better when everyone has a seat at the table.

We are looking for a strategic and driven Senior Publishing Lead to lead our new Publishing organisation. In this role, you will hold the pen on the publishing strategy for our titles, leading a focused operational team to bring that strategy to life. You will act as a bridge between your team, our game teams, marketing, and commercial. You won't just design strategy in a vacuum; you will own the execution of the live-service and publishing plans. You will own the publishing roadmap, drive key partnerships, and ensure our games reach their full potential across all platforms.
Example of responsibilities:

Strategic Publishing Ownership: Go beyond execution by defining the comprehensive publishing strategy. You will collaborate with Commercial to set goals, but you will own the high-level roadmap to achieve them — collaborating closely with Marketing on the execution, platforms and schedule of our go-to-market and live-service beats.

Commercial Lifecycle Management: Co-develop the game’s commercial roadmap. You will partner with Commercial to define pricing structures and lifecycle beats, ensuring that our promotional calendars are executed flawlessly and adapted based on market performance.

Cross-Functional Orchestration: Serve as a key partner to the Marketing and Game Development teams. You will ensure commercial goals are woven into the game’s design and marketing campaigns early on, preventing silos and aligning all teams toward a unified launch and live-service plan.

Strategic Partnerships: Identify, negotiate, and manage high-impact product partnerships (hardware, platform, brand) that elevate our titles and expand our player base.

Data-Informed Leadership: Promote a data-first culture. You will utilize sales data and analytics not just to report on the past, but to forecast trends and proactively pivot publishing tactics in real-time.

We would love if you have:

Proven Experience: Significant experience in Game Publishing, Product Management, or Commercial Operations (PC/Console focus).

Strategic Operator: You can oscillate between high-level strategy and on-the-ground execution. You don't just follow a plan; you build it and drive it to completion.

Commercial Fluency: Deep understanding of digital sales channels, pricing psychology, and live-service economics.

Collaborative Influence: Ability to build consensus and influence cross-functional teams (Marketing, Game Teams, Commercial, Execs).

(Bonus) Proven track record of negotiating complex partnerships or managing first-party platform relationships.

As a Software Engineer in the data team at Embark you will be a game maker focused on building the tools needed to support the creation of the most fun, balanced, and engaging games possible.
The data team at Embark is focused on making sure that game design and development have a data model and reporting system that provide the necessary data and analysis to serve every aspect of the business. As our game is distributed between game client, game server and in the cloud, you’ll work together with your team to figure out which parts of the problem to solve in which location. At Embark, we believe in creating smaller teams of well-aligned experts that can be trusted to keep things running smoothly while exploring innovative solutions.
While we don’t expect you to know everything, here are some of the technologies we use: Python, Go, Unreal, GCP, Bazel, Terraform, k8s and BigQuery. As a generalist software engineer you will work with the game teams to add telemetry to the game, plus you will also work with all kinds of tech and problem spaces we have in the data team!
Example of responsibilities
Go through the features planned for a new season of a game and add tracking to Unreal code for them.
Build and maintain internal tools that present the gathered data back to the game designers. For example, we have a map viewer that allows replaying any match that has happened in the game!
Continuously improve our engineering practices and automate existing workflows to make sure our services and infrastructure are easy to deploy, scale and maintain.
Collaborate closely with other teams to build solutions that the players (and fellow game makers) love.
Improve and innovate on our telemetry and analytics pipeline with a focus on the backend services and applications.

We would love if you have
A creative and curious mind
Experience with some of the technologies we use such as Python, Go and GCP
A passion for interactive experiences, games and new technologies
A solid understanding about distributed systems and experience building them on a cloud infrastructure
A good grasp of performance, optimization and observability
Experience with Unreal or C++/Angelscript or willing to learn. The type of work that we usually do in the game does not require a deep understanding of Unreal or C++, but a little bit of knowledge helps!
The ability to be a great team player with good communication skills
Professional English communication skills

At Embark we offer competitive salaries, passionate colleagues to share knowledge with and much more, but most of all we invite you to take part of a journey into the unknown, to build creative, surprising and beautiful experiences together. We welcome game makers of all sex, class, colour, age, gender identity, education, religion, opinion, culture, nation of origin, language, sexual orientation, shape, size, and ability. You’ll be an integral part of a highly creative continuous integration team and together we’ll help our developers make awesome games with minimal hassle. To do that we need lots of machines and fast game builds. Working on Tools and CI means new challenges every day, so be prepared to learn on your feet. Our tools are generally written in Rust, and since the game is built in Unreal we also work with Unreal C++.

Build CI pipelines for the game building tasks we need (auto placing loot, compute shader PSOs, build&stage; game, …)
Provision and configure machines so we have enough for the build farm, update e.g. console SDKs on the farm with

A creative and curious mind
Systems programming skills (like Go/C++/Java/…), OS knowledge, I/O
All around solid programming skills
Professional English communication skills.

Additionally would this be a great bonus
Provisioning machines in for instance VMWare vSphere, Ansible skills etc

Your role is to help build internal tools and services that span everything from release tooling and game config to code coverage to Unreal analysis and content processing tools. Working on Tools and CI means new challenges every day, so be prepared to learn on your feet!
As our games are distributed between game client, game server and in the cloud, you’ll work together with your team to figure out which parts of the problem to solve in which location. We work on a broad tech stack. Our backend systems are written in Go for the most part, our tools are in Rust and since the game is built in Unreal we also work with Unreal C++. This role is mostly about working on the tools we implement as web pages, but you can expect journeys into other areas as well depending on what our developers need.
Example of responsibilities
Collaborate and work closely with fellow software engineers and technical directors
Build and improve services, features and tools to improve build workflows and content delivery
Continuously improve our engineering practices

We would love if you have
A creative and curious mind
Solid software engineering skills and experience with systems and backend programming (e.g. Go/C++/Java/…)
The ability to be a great team player with good communication skills
Professional English communication skills.
