What you will be doing

As a Senior Software Engineer at Anyfin, you will be joining a diverse and fast-paced scale-up environment with co-workers who are motivated, helpful, adaptable and committed to creating fantastic (we mean amazing) tech and products.

You will work with the core backend services team that enables our business, and be part of building something truly big, where no day will be the same. You will work on data pipelines, with the financial backend team as well as closely with the credit team. Through your work you will make sure we give the best offer to our customers by improving our payment infrastructure, accounting and financial reporting and third party integrations. In the core services team we have multiple Python as well as JavaScript services and in this role you will be working on both but have your main ownership for the Python parts.

More in detail, you will be responsible for:

Taking the main ownership and being the key driver of our Python services, driving them to the next level and pushing the boundaries of what is possible. You are also expected to contribute to the JavaScript parts.

Work closely and cooperate with key stakeholders such as our Data Scientists, Finance Team, Product Managers, and Business Analysts.

Participate in discussions with external parties such as credit bureaus, partner banks etc.

Be an active part in driving our infrastructure and architecture forward.

Mentoring more junior engineers.

Drive Python best practices internally.

Skills & Requirements
Who you are

Have extensive experience in Python and love working with it. We believe it takes at least 5+ years to get there.

Solid experience in server applications and relational databases (we use Postgres but any other one will do as well).

Profound experience with cloud technologies, preferably in GCP.

Some experience in JavaScript as you will be touching it on a frequent basis as well.

Experience in cloud technologies, with knowledge of GCP being advantageous.

We’d be thrilled if you have a degree in Computer Science and experience from the financial sector or accounting and financial data systems but it is not a must.

What you will be doing

In this role, you will be working closely together with our marketers, business developers and product managers making sure we create products that bring actual positive, and lasting financial impact for our users.

You will be responsible for market research and competitive analysis to develop user and buyer personas, messaging, segments, pricing, features etc. Together with the product management team you will also assess product market fit for existing products and new products, develop product positioning, value proposition and messaging of new products and features. You will position Anyfin as the differentiated solution in the market we are.

As if that wasn’t enough exciting things, you will also play a vital role in enabling the organization to succeed. You will be responsible for providing product information and training to the organization, and set up communication cadences for the product team. You will also support CRM and customer growth by providing insights and knowledge about our products and customer segments. What you will be doing
Finland was the second market that Anyfin entered and has long played an important role in fueling our continued growth. As Team Lead for the team that caters to the finnish market you will be responsible for a group of people that handles customer contact, credit assessment, applications as well as AML related issues in relation to our Finnish users.You will also be tasked with continuously developing core processes in cooperation with other departments across Anyfin, such as Engineering, Product and Marketing.

We are looking to grow our influencer marketing team to make sure that we always hit our monthly growth targets and make Anyfin even bigger in Sweden. What you will be doing:

As office manager you will have two direct reports, both working part time. Together, you will ensure that all Anyfiners, and anyone visiting our office, have an exceptional experience. This means that your tasks will include, but not be limited to:

- Welcoming visitors and employees to the office

- Ordering office materials and handling purchasing for the office

- Act as the main point of contact towards suppliers as well as our landlord

- Be responsible for the state of all our common areas and the office in large - making sure things are tidy and neat and that people have everything that they need,

- Arrange various activities and events for our employees, this could mean everything from lunches, weekly breakfasts (on Friday’s), happy hours, valentines day, easter and the list goes on…

- Be an integral part of our onboarding process, arranging everything from accesses to being the first person that new employees see and meet on their first day.



So far this seems rather straightforward, a normal “Office Manager job” - right? WRONG!

We believe that it could be SOOOO much more. The office team sits under the People function and works as an integrated part of our overall people agenda. We believe that there are a number things we can do to have the office-team play a more strategic role in our retention strategy and ongoing HR operations. We are not afraid to admit that we haven’t quite figured this out yet, but we are looking for a person to come in, lead this team and figure it out together with our Head of People Enablement and the rest of the function. Then there is the point about creating a holistic employee experience across different offices (Stockholm, Berlin soon Oslo and more to come), and the fact that we might be looking to move soon as we are outgrowing our current office, and kickoffs. As a Senior Backend Developer at Anyfin you will be joining co-workers who are as motivated, helpful and open to change as you are. What you will do:

You’ll develop our financial systems, including;

- Building and designing out the core systems for handling loans and payments
- Creating API's for our mobile app as well as our internal systems
- Building pipelines for data processing and reporting
- Scale and adapt our systems to support an increasing number of customers and markets
- Model and analyze data in
- Mentor your more junior colleagues
- Work cross-functional with others in our financial department, data scientists, data engineers and business analysts


Who you are:

- You have solid experience in building services in either TypeScript/ JavaScript, Python or Go, as they are our main languages and good knowledge in and worked minimum 5 years as a developer
- You are familiar with Docker and it is a plus if you have worked with Kubernetes.
- As we’re building the foundations of something truly big, so it’s extra important that you write clean and readable code
- You obtain a great attention to detail and an urge to create solid, reliable solutions
- You have an open mind and like people for what they are

What you will be doing
This is a new role at Anyfin and you'll have the opportunity to be a part of building and set the foundation of our product organization and you'll be reporting to our Chief product Officer. Furthermore, you'll be:

- Lead, mentor and support our Product Managers and make sure they have what they need to grow and make great product decisions.
- Hands-on responsible for product resourcing, hiring and team management.
- Reporting to our Chief Product Officer, you will help define product strategy and assist in the implementation.
- Work hand in hand with our Head of Design to push the boundaries on our product experience and make finance fun for our customers.
- Be the driving force in defining our long term product roadmap together with the team, our founders and management team.
- Translate corporate strategy and business goals into product initiatives.


Who you are

- 10+ years in Product and experience as VP Product, Head of Product or similar
- You have previous experience in leading product managers in a high growth and scale up environment
- You cultivate a product culture that prioritizes learning and innovation.
- Experience in digital products: mobile and web applications and working in an international context since we are aiming high
- You have proven ability to direct, mentor and inspire product managers and their teams
- You have a strong business and commercial understanding and understand what drives customer engagement. This enables you to push boundaries design - If that felt like a “buzzword sentence” it's because it was, but we have a feeling if you know what we mean.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Joining Anyfin as a Fullstack JavaScript Developer means that you will have the opportunity to work in a startup company in constant movement, where tech constitutes the very core of our business. What you will do:

In this role you will be working on complex coding challenges, building new products and creating features to our existing products. You will also work on communication gateways to our customer facing web and native apps. To do so your tools will be React and React Native along with Typescript, Node, GraphQL and Postgres. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the system and product design so an open and curious mind is key. The job also means to own critical parts of what you are building. At Anyfin we work in cross functional teams so you’ll get the chance to work with friendly and competent people from all kinds of areas. Who you are:

You have great skills in JavaScript and have a preference for React since that is what we are heavily leaning towards. We would be thrilled if you also happen to have experience in Python, GO or , but if you don’t that’s okay too. We believe that you have at least three years of professional experience.

Since we move at a fast pace,- it is important that you can find the right balance between perfecting code and what is required at the time. Anyfin is growing and we are looking for someone to take care of our office space located on Drottninggatan in central Stockholm. Someone that can take initiatives, is service minded, prestigeless and has an eye for what needs to be done to create an inspiring and productive environment. You will get to work in a fast paced environment where a lot is happening. Your working hours will be 32 hours per week (80%), starting at 8 am in the morning.

- Looking after and making sure our office space is the best workplace for our employees
- Making necessary purchases and managing contact with different service providers
- Taking care of and welcoming our visitors
- Coordinate with the IT-department on all office equipment.
