At AstraZeneca we turn ideas into life changing medicines and strive to continuously meet the unmet needs of patients worldwide. Working here means being entrepreneurial, thinking big and working together to make the impossible a reality. If you are swift to action, confident to lead, willing to collaborate, and curious about what science can do, then you're our kind of person.

This role can be based either at our Stockholm office, located in Forskaren, in the middle of Hagastaden or at our Gothenburg Research & Development site, one of AstraZeneca's five strategic R&D (Research & Development) hubs. Working cross-functionally, you will take part in identifying media opportunities and spokespersons on all levels of the company, develop relevant background and briefing materials, as well as handling reactive media inquiries. Responsibilities also consist of developing content for social media and web, external presentation material and include monitoring Swedish media and social media, preparing coverage reports and translations.

An important aspect of the job is to manage a large volume of corporate news announcements that are the result of AstraZeneca's significant pipeline and our growth journey.

* Ideally, you have worked in a newsroom for some time

The ideal candidate must be able to gain the trust and respect of journalists and colleagues at AstraZeneca - including with senior leaders, who will rely on you and the team's advice and guidance on media-related and external communications matters. The candidate should be equally at home working on pro- and reactively stories, but also in finding new ways and channels of telling them in a constantly evolving media landscape.

In this collaborative role, we see a communicative and great teammate. To succeed and thrive in this position, specific knowledge about the media landscape and general knowledge of the Swedish business environment will be required.

We are looking for someone who can become even more focused and calm as tasks increase and time shrinks, and someone who enjoys an accelerated work tempo at times outside of normal working hours.

Desirable Requirements
