This is a multi-function role; your prime objective will be to be a great leader for a great team. This include day-to-day stuff like stand-up and sprint planning, long term strategy, be part of the customer journey and employee life cycle.

The team is pretty self-sufficient and we want all our leaders to take part in the hands-on work as well. This part depends on who you are. Who are you?

You can have acquired your greatness in many ways. We are not the kind of company that says that you HAVE to have xx years of experience in a specific technology. What will you be doing at Nexus?
So, what will you be doing at Nexus? The short version is that you will be part of the team that provide support for our printer hardware, both on-site at the customer but also in-house (some customers send us their printers for service).

You will be responsible for “your own” customers within the region, plan the support for the hardware and ensure customer satisfaction by following up on the customers.

This is a role with a lot of own responsibility, but you will always have help from the team. We have check-ins and you will submit weekly report of progress and planned visits. You will also give support to our customers via phone and email and it should not matter how you interact with the customers, you will always give them the same great service!

As you sure already have figured out, this position demands a lot of travels (mostly within Mälardalen) and sometime you will be required to stay away overnight. Most days you will work regular working hours though.

Who are you?
As a Service technician you will be one of the members at Nexus with the most customer contact, therefor it’s important that you are a people person and like to talk to customers. This is not a sales role, but you have a mindset where it’s natural for you to talk to the costumers about their solutions and to make sure they have the right solutions. Most of our customers are Swedish and therefor it’s important that you are fluent in Swedish, and because we are a global organization you need to be unhindered in English as well.

As long as you have some experience as a service technician in any field you will learn our printers when you start and we want you to have a couple of years of experience as a Service technician, but it can be from other industries and technologies.

What will you be doing at Nexus?
So what is it you will be doing? The short version is that you will be part of the team that prints and ships our smart cards. A smart card is an identifier for the work- or student environment, some examples are the ID06 cards everyone uses at construction sites, or the keycards you use at big corporations.

Sounds easy? Far from it! As a production worker you have a big responsibility making sure all the information is correct, that the prints come out nicely, that we have the same high quality on every printed card. This is not a job where you can press “GO” and then just sit and watch the clock tick.

You will multitask and takes pride in optimizing your output (how many prints can you have going at the same time?) and you are the type of person who like getting to know your machines and knowing when something’s off. And then fix it.

You will be responsible for handling customer’s issues. You will take care of the whole process: from the ticket that comes in, the reproduction of the issue, the analysis of the incident, drafting and communicating a solution. What will you be doing at Nexus

As a support engineer you will handle calls and tickets coming in from our customers. Your duties, among other things, is to understand the issue, to collect all needed information during the analysis, to reproduce the issue if possible, to deliver a hotfix in case of urgency or to forward the issue to a product development team. For the analysis, you have the possibility to check logfiles and potentially you will have access the customer’s environment via remote secure access. You will cooperate with our own product owners, our developers as well as with the customer’s technical staff.

Who are you

We further believe that you have good communication skills, you can describe technical topics in an easy to understand language. Some knowledge around PKI, certificates, smart cards and SSL is a big plus. Your knowledge can come either from the relevant IT education and training and/or your previous work experience.
