REPORTS TO: the Dean of Students
Your role will involve supporting the work of the science teachers and their students. This includes providing technical support, ensuring that equipment is functioning properly and is ready to use, and preparing materials for particular lessons.
You will work closely with teachers to help prepare practical lessons, and support teachers and students in carrying out practicals. You will also assist individual students on research projects.
Duties and Responsibilities 
Liaise with science teachers to discuss timetables, equipment requirements and work plans.
Coordinate work in the laboratory classrooms.
To prepare, set up and clear away all chemicals, apparatus and equipment necessary for the laboratory lessons.
To prepare chemical solutions where necessary.
To manage all necessary cleaning, care and repair of all equipment - from test tubes to microscopes.
To maintain the laboratories in a clean and tidy condition.
To keep cupboards / drawers clean and stocked as required. 
To be responsible for the general security of and safety within the department.
To ensure that all health and safety procedures are understood and followed correctly.

Degree in Science
Previous work in a school- and laboratory environment is preferred.

Job Description 
The role of the Data Protection Officer (DPO) at SIS is to ensure our school is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Swedish Data Protection Laws.
The DPO will report to the Director. Data Protection Officer responsibilities include advising on our compliance with GDPR and local data protection laws, monitoring our adherence to GDPR standards and acting as a point of contact with supervisory authorities and data subjects. The DPO will also create policies that enforce compliance with legislation and deliver GDPR trainings to our staff to increase awareness of data protection measures.
To be successful in this role, the candidate needs to have in-depth knowledge of GDPR and local data protection laws and be familiar with our industry and the nature of its data processing activities. The DPO should also know how to perform audits following SIS protocols and procedures.
Ultimately, the DPO will facilitate GDPR compliance through transparent data protection policies, systems and procedures.


Responsibilities
Act as point of contact with EU residents, supervisory authorities and internal teams
Identify and evaluate the company’s data processing activities
Provide advice and instructions on how to conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
Monitor data management procedures and compliance within the company
Participate in meetings with managers to ensure privacy by design at all levels
Ensure all queries from data subjects are addressed within legal time frames 
Liaise with other organisations that process data on our behalf
Write and update detailed guides on data protection policies
Perform audits and determine whether we need to alter our procedures to comply with regulations
Offer consultation on how to deal with privacy breaches
Arrange for training on GDPR compliance for employees
Follow up with changes in law and issue recommendations to ensure compliance



Requirements
Experience in data protection and legal compliance
Certified DPO  is a plus
Solid knowledge of GDPR and national data protection laws
Knowledge of data processing operations within schools is preferable
Familiarity with computer security systems
Ability to handle confidential information
Ethical, with the ability to remain impartial and report all noncompliances
Organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to communicate fluently in English both orally and in writing

Summary


The IT Support Technician is responsible for supporting IT services at Stockholm International School. The person will report directly to the  IT Manager. The prime responsibility of this position is to provide a high quality of service, both technical and client focused, in the technical setup, IT maintenance/repair, and enhancement of IT services at Stockholm International School. A large portion of this position is related to student and staff devices and spaces within the school. This position will provide school-wide IT support and maintenance during both school and holiday periods.


Duties and Responsibilities
 
Windows/macOS installation and support.
Hands-on desktop support, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, configuring systems and applications, and preventative maintenance.
Monitor and work help desk tickets and ensure timely resolution.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems with computer systems, including hardware and software, email and peripheral equipment problems (Tech Bar).
Overtime may occur with regards to events, board meetings etc.
Provide technical assistants to all SIS stakeholders during tech bar hours (students, parents and faculty).



Competencies & skills required


Significant experience within a Mac OS and Chrome OS environment, both as a user and administrator
Comfort within a Windows environment.
Experience with a variety of common MacOS software packages, both as a user and trainer, is highly beneficial.
Experience with the setup, diagnosis, maintenance and repair of IT equipment.
The ability to handle both experienced and inexperienced computer users.
A curious mind regarding most aspects of IT infrastructure and a love for new technologies.
Good English (written and oral) communications skills.
A good working knowledge of Swedish would be an advantage.
Good organizational and communication skills.
