In the Search & Compare organization, you will work with several highly experienced software engineers focusing on building the world's favorite way to shop. Challenges include:
- Handling hundreds of millions of offer updates daily
- Creating the world's most comprehensive and searchable structured product catalog
- Developing features for our consumers and merchants


We use state-of-the-art technology to build an experience used by millions of consumers every month. Our code base evolves constantly, and hundreds of merge requests are pushed into production weekly
Minimum qualifications:
2 years of experience with software development in Java (version 8 or higher) and related frameworks, such as Spring
Experience in event-oriented message frameworks such as Kafka or similar
Experience in building REST APIs
Experience in delivering well-tested, maintainable, and functioning code

Preferred qualifications:
Experience in No Databases such as ElasticSearch, MongoDB, etc.
Knowledge of microservice-oriented architecture

Responsibilities
As a Java Software Engineer, you will work within a specific problem space critical to Klarna’s current needs where you will design, develop and deploy backend services with a focus on scalability, high availability, and low latency
Collaborate and grow in a dynamic and autonomous environment while working in small, agile, and cross-functional teams
Use the latest technologies to solve real problems for our customers on a massive scale
Be part of a team that will take full operational responsibility for the services that you own, and potentially take part in an on-call rotation
Share your knowledge and build creative solutions while helping the team evolve best practices.

You will be part of the legal entity Pricerunner International within Klarna, more specifically the Product Data organisation.
In the Product Data organisation, you will work with several highly experienced software engineers focusing on building the world's favourite way to shop.

Handling hundreds of millions of offer updates daily
Creating the world's most comprehensive and searchable structured product catalogue
Developing features for our consumers and merchants


We use state-of-the-art technology to build an experience used by millions of consumers every month. Our code base evolves constantly, and hundreds of merge requests are pushed into production weekly.


The complexity of the service lies in the volume of products, prices and e-tailers, as well as varying data quality. Several times a day, we load new prices and detailed information on millions of products from over 18,000 e-tailers in 500 unique categories, in several countries. Their largest markets are Sweden, Denmark, US and Germany. Working with us means working in a modern and fast-moving company with competent colleagues who have fun at work and solve things together.


As part of the Product Data organisation’s platform team, you will have an important role in taking the technical platform to a new level. Today, there are great ambitions to further develop the platform and continue to create the greatest possible value for users.
The focus for you as a DevOps Engineer will be:
Assist Product Data organisation's development team with automation and architecture.
Improving the overall performance of the platform with a focus on fast response time, scalability and resource allocation. In line with the company's global expansion, this is a constant challenge.
Continuously further develop and improve the internal tools for Tech in Golang.
Continue the construction of a microservice architecture with the support of, among others, Nomad, Consul, Elastic, Terraform, Gigaspaces and Ansible.

Requirements
10+ years of hands-on experience developing tools and platforms with in-depth experience from cloud providers.
Extensive experience in Docker orchestration platforms such as Nomad, Kubernetes or similar

Du er en dygtig og hurtig skribent med dansk som modersmål og har et stort og varieret ordforråd. Du er generalist, men gerne kombineret med en stor interesse og viden inden for et eller flere specifikke produktområder - altså en rigtig produktnørd. Du ved, hvordan man laver "content", der fanger læserens interesse, hovedsageligt på skrift, men også gerne billede/video.

Du kan prioritere, vurdere og forstå, hvilke tekster der har forretningsmæssig værdi og driver mange sidevisninger.
