Responsibilities
Perform hands-on operations and maintenance which includes all physical and administrative operations tasks, service, and maintenance in accordance with site processes and procedures to ensure the highest levels of uptime, efficiency, and safety without disruption to the business
Complete work order requests accurately and on time in a computerized maintenance management system
Achieve and maintain a high-level of technical knowledge regarding data center infrastructure and operations. Successfully complete personnel qualification standards (PQS) training
Provides technical expertise and assistance as required
Respond quickly, using Meta procedures or emergency operating procedures to data center facility emergencies

Order parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs
Work with vendors and contractors to ensure work is in accordance with the agreed Meta processes, procedures, and standards
Escalate issues to facility management appropriately and timely
Assist in scheduling and supervising vendors/subcontractors during equipment/systems maintenance and service
Provides recommendation of improvements to the operations and maintenance program on an on-going basis
Required to work on a shift schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
Utilize computerized tooling, in a control room environment, to operate remote equipment, monitor system alerts, centralize communications, diagnose faults, and prioritize dispatching of resources



Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, controls, or other technical maintenance field
Associate's degree in engineering plus 3+ years experience or Bachelor's degree in related field plus 2+ years experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, or controls will be considered in lieu of 5+ years experience

Site Logistics Operations Specialist Responsibilities
Oversee logistics operations at Luleå data center site to ensure operations are performed within the IBOS 4S standards (Safety, Security, SOX compliance, Stakeholders)
Proactively and continuously monitor site logistics operations to identify gaps and create remediation plans as needed
Plan and coordinate with third party logistics provider lead at the assigned data center to ensure site logistics requirements are met or exceeded. Work closely with third party lead to develop logistics support plans to include inventory accuracy, inventory movement and distribution, server rack movements, shipping and receiving, and any other processes as needed
Develop, refine, and maintain documentation that captures and distributes the processes and policies for executing safe, effective, and efficient logistics operations within Meta data centers
Help produce monthly audits of compliance to ensure meeting all inventory controls
Build and support cross-functional relationships with internal partners drive effective communication channels supporting operations management
Support month/quarter and year end requirement to ensure appropriate financial reporting
Enable and support IBOS leaders to understand business requirements, implement new processes and contribute to ongoing process improvements
Identify gaps in operations and present solutions to standardize operations across Meta data center sites
Drive inventory reconciliation process to identify risk, manage obsolescence, and correct errors impacting inventory movement
Identify and implement process improvement and efficiency efforts at assigned data center and warehouse locations
Work with field leads, vendors and contract labor to develop and execute action plans in the implementation of these new processes
Help define and manage ongoing KPIs to measure process compliance and logistics operations performance
Monitor metrics highlighting performance and trends within the data center field and warehouse operations
Partner in developing shared solutions when inconsistencies are identified



Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management, business management and/or any other business-related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years logistics experience overseeing operations, team performance, and SLA adherence
Experience working independently, prioritising, and managing one's time
Experience with ERP, TMS, CMS, WMS systems – Oracle, Excel or any other analytics tools
Knowledge in Supply Chain process from Procure-to-Pay

Lead business risk management alignment and change management at the organizational level for edge infrastructure use cases.

Participate in the global team’s Tier IV+ on-call rotation with the goal of routing issues as needed and understanding how processes or tooling might be improved, skills can be developed, or automation can be implemented to prevent the need to escalate similar issues in the future.

Minimum Qualifications

Meta is seeking an experienced Area Construction Manager to join our Data Center Design, Engineering, & Construction (DEC) Team. Our Infrastructure family builds, operates, and retrofits the Meta data centers in service to the Meta family of Apps and it is the DEC Delivery Construction Management team that oversees the Construction activities.
The DEC Delivery Construction Management (CM) organization is responsible to manage the construction execution for our Data Center fleet including new build (greenfield), retrofit (live environment changes), and onsite fiber installations (trunk to top of rack) through handoff of data halls to be provisioned with racks and servers.
The Area Construction Manager (ACM) reports to the Area Manager (AM) and is a people manager responsible for managing retrofits, techmods, and site-based DEC teams in mature regions within the Area. Key responsibilities include managing Land Ready Sites, providing pre-construction support, new hire onboarding, and assuming additional duties as assigned by the Area Manager. The ACM will have 4-8 direct reports and provide leadership by influencing a matrixed team of Safety, QAQC, and Project Controls professionals to achieve predictable outcomes. This role also involves building high-quality internal and external partnerships. The ACM typically supports 6-8 regions, each with 2-6 Full Time Employees (FTE), and due to the dispersed nature of the sites, significant travel is required, 50% or more, to ensure effective support and collaboration. An execution focus is essential, prioritizing incorporating lessons learned, team health, and project success, while maintaining high financial stewardship, collaboration, and partnership within our matrixed DEC organization.


Area Construction Manager Responsibilities
Responsible for the financial health and wellness of the projects within the assigned Area. Monitoring the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to ensure the health of the team and project

Experience in engineering, design, commissioning, and operations and ground up new build site development and construction as well as retrofit work in live environments
Experience prioritizing & rapidly change direction and adapt as needed to support a rapidly growing business model

Experience in large scale construction management (excess of $500M/year Construction spend) required

Experience with establishing and maintaining cross-functional relationships that help teams, stakeholders, and partners define and achieve goals.
Familiarity with organizational and digital transformation initiatives at both the strategic and tactical levels.
Intermediate understanding of IP Networking/Routing & Switching (TCP/IP, IPv4/v6, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, and/or MPLS). Network certifications, such as CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, RHCSA or equivalent experience are a plus.
Experience with providing technical guidance to external vendors. Experience identifying key metrics/measures that will be used to evaluate success and validate the business impact of the program is a plus.
Familiarity with physical infrastructure design: rack elevations, cable types, connector types, optic types, patch panels, power/cooling, and facility infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Provide subject-matter expertise regarding data center network planning, architecture and standards. Interface and align with all of our network/software engineering teams and act as point of contact for every new data center network projects. Shape solutions through early and active involvement in project and product lifecycles. Create deployment packages and standards to ensure global consistency. Make solid network recommendations to best facilitate ongoing company technology projects. Help growing other people by giving trainings and mentorship. Contribution on development & deployment of numerous technologies and network topologies in order to evolve and scale our data centers. Participate in an on-call rotation to support the regional network infrastructure 24x7. 10% of travel required, up to 30% based on projects.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in TCP, IP[v4|v6], BGP and related protocols. 3+ years of experience in structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure - their application and limitations within the datacenter space. We seek an IT professional with advanced hands-on technical skills in Networks, Server Hardware and Linux (ideally in a Data Center environment). Perform deep dives and analyze complex technical issues within the data center, ranging from automated tooling to hardware failures and network issues.
Work as a technical lead with cross functional teams on large scale data center projects and initiatives.
Provide cross data center support and identify potentially larger issues, displaying effective communication when something is identified.
Work with internal hardware teams and vendors to help resolve complex technical issues, maintain high hardware quality levels and influence future design to ensure ease of serviceability.
Understand/analyze issues and be able to update and develop scripts and smaller sets of software.
Use data to drive maximum server fleet up-time and utilization rates, by understanding hardware failure rates and SLAs to customers. Identify trends and systemic issues in the fleet and drive resolution.
Mentor team members to evaluate and identify better ways to resolve issues and define updates to tools and processes.
Provide guidance and mentor technical leads and the go-to technical resource for management.
Build cross functional relationships and have the ability to influence policies and procedures to improve global data center operations.
Participate in an on-call rotation.

Minimum Qualifications
BS, BA or BEng in technical field or commensurate experience.
Knowledge of Linux and hardware systems support in an Internet operations environment.
Knowledge of the interdependencies of data center functions and technologies.
Experience managing multiple projects within the same time schedule.
Knowledge of enterprise level networking and storage equipment installs.
Knowledge of out-of-band/lights-out server communication methods, such as IPMI and serial console.
Time and project management experience.
Experience in modifying and developing in commonly used scripting or programming languages.
Proven communication skills.
