Master's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Process, Energy Engineering, or equivalent
4-6 years’ experience working with either HVAC, oil and gas, petrochemical, power plant, food industry, paper and pulp industries
Hands-on experience from installing/servicing previously mentioned industries in the field
Experience from working with P&IDs; both as user, also as designer

The Cost Engineer is responsible for cost control for a project including the configuration and maintenance of the cost control system and associated accounting, scheduling, progress, trend, change and contractor performance data required to ensure reliability and accuracy of both actual costs and commitments to date, and forecast to complete. On a day-to-day basis he or she reports directly to the Project Controls Manager.


Key Responsibilities:
Prepares the project cost control procedure as a standalone document, or as a chapter in the Project Controls Plan or Project Execution Plan. Ensures alignment with applicable Northvolt standards.
Establishes budgets for control accounts, purchase orders, contracts and work packages based on the detailed cost estimate
Prepares the monthly Northvolt standard cost reports and supports Northvolt Business and Finance Control requests for information

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Technology Innovation Engineer to join us in our mission to create the world’s greenest battery. As part of the Technology Quality team based in Skellefteå, you will be a key player in contributing to building one of the first large-scale European battery factories. You will establish and manage the structural framework used to carry out implementation projects, as well as lead your own projects as we take ideas from off-line systems to industrialization. The role will encompass aspects of project management, automation analysis and reporting, and product engineering.
This role may also require occasional international travel.

Prepare, control, and supervise project resources.
Troubleshooting and debugging of new implemented technologies.

The Clean Room Specialist will be in charge of cleanliness standards and procedures across the factory, including clean room operations. You will be in charge of overseeing clean room validation of new clean rooms, setting up cleaning procedures in production, including clean rooms and airlocks, gowning in clean rooms, training of operators in working in clean rooms and setting up the appropriate procedures to minimise contamination.
You will primarily support the program and production teams to achieve the high expectations of cleanliness and contamination free products.
You will be working intimately with the construction team, program team, process engineering, Maintenance and Production.
In general you have a long experience in clean room operations and have been responsible for operating and cleaning procedures with high demands on contamination free products.

Northvolt is looking for a Warehouse Technician to take part in the execution of spare parts management in the factory to secure maintenance work performance.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
· Planning capability to support the space needs within the current warehouses.
· Read technical documentation and update when necessary.
· Work with bill of material and maintenance procedures
· Improvement of parts identification and location methods.
· implementing best practices for maintaining accurate inventories.
· Inspect components to detect wear, vibrations, or not proper lubrication.
· Contribute in maintenance program optimization.
· Development recommendations for the storage of parts based on how quickly they are utilized.
· Review all material handling equipment and look to maximize the capacity and utilization within the parts warehouse.
· standardize and improve the processes and inventory management between facilities.
· Safety concept as it relates to the material handling equipment or parts storage.
· Train others in maintenance specific tasks.
· Evaluation of needed spare parts of the equipment.

Northvolt is establishing it's first mass-production facility in Skellefteå and in joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories and aid Northvolt and our customers in the transformation to a carbon free society. When old technology is phased out and overtaken by electrification in the coming years, batteries are going to become the differentiating factor.
You will be a part of building a new competent and dependable team from scratch, capable to scale Northvolt’s operations in Sweden and beyond.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assess and analyze manufacturing and suggest actions to improve efficiency or initiate problem solving
Design and implement cost-reductive changes
Maximize productivity of machinery and workers
Ensure all steps of production run smoothly and efficiently
Drive actions or projects to improve efficiency in manufacturing
Participate in or drive problem solving workshops or actions like 8D, Ishikawa, 5? Etc.
Participate in or drive projects for new equipment

The key responsibilities of the QC area manager is to plan, manage and coordinate the daily activities of a sub-team within the Quality Control team at Northvolt Labs. This includes ensuring the execution of the control plan, both the logistics and successful testing of incoming and outgoing materials to and from the QC laboratory, as well as collaborating with stakeholders from production/quality/logistics/R&D/cell design to support them as best as possible in terms of their daily QC needs and requirements. Additionally, the area manager’s responsibility is to maximise the use of available resources (personnel, equipment, material), build a strong and talented team that can meet the high demands of our internal customers in terms of quality, efficiency, and turn-around time of results.
The Quality Control Area Manager has several key types of responsibilities, each with a distinct set of duties and expectations. In addition, this role requires a high degree of flexibility and ability to cope with ambiguity and rapid change in production operations and quality control needs.
The main types of responsibilities and expectations thereof are (in no particular order of priority):
Direct Management of Employees. This role usually has several direct reports and as such the Area Manager is expected to handle the day-to-day management of these employees, including:
Assistance with hiring and onboarding.
Attendance.
Vacation, holiday, and other time-off management and approvals.
Corrective actions for behaviour if required.
Ensuring all basic company compliance type training (e.g. safety, company policy) is attended and adhered to.

Operations Management of specific QC activities (both employees and throughput). This responsibility is concerned with the actual productivity of the sub-team.
Management of the execution of all quality control analyses of the sub-team as per the control plan.
Plan and communicate to the team their daily/weekly priorities (immediate to 168-hour timeframe), ensure expectations and responsibilities are clear.
Responsible for short-term planning and scheduling of people and resources to achieve optimal throughput, as well as any necessary planning involved with control plan and project changes.
Coordinate logistics of incoming/outgoing samples to/from QC lab; immediate collection and reporting of results back to production.
Support the team with running analytical testing on a range of instruments.
Ensure non-conformities about material deviations are reported and follow up on improvement.

Operational Training, Quality, and Safety Compliance of Direct Personnel and Daily Processes. The Area Managers are responsible for ensuring that basic expectations and requirements are met, which includes:
Strict adherence to all safety requirements and safe operation/handling of equipment and materials by all team members; ensure the team works in the safest manner possible.
Drive continuous improvement of ways of workings and analyses to increase the team’s efficiency and optimize analyses turn-around times.
Ensure continuous cross-training within the team; set up training sessions, develop & grow expertise within the team for them to be able to safely and competently perform their tasks.
Ensure SOPs and WIs are being followed and continuously updated. This includes strict adherence to Northvolt’s 5S standards.

Expect, Plan For, and Manage a Certain Degree of Ambiguity and Constant Change. This job, due to the company still being a start-up environment, requires flexibility and the ability to work well and coordinate with others. You will be working intimately with operators, technicians and other production personnel. Your focus will be on execution of mechanical maintenance in the factory.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Interface with operators, technicians and other production personnel to understand and communicate improvements that needs to be done and has been done.
Install, maintain and repair mechanical equipment.
Read technical documentation and update when necessary.
Perform general mechanical maintenance.
Inspect components to detect wear, vibrations or not proper lubrication.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues using appropriate tools.
Repair and replace equipment.
Contribute in maintenance program optimization.
Train others in maintenance specific tasks.
Evaluation of needed spare parts of the equipment.
