Om tjänsten
I din roll kommer du att undervisa våra elever på årskurserna F–3. Tjänsten är en heltidstjänst (ferietjänst) som inleds med en provanställning. För att ge dig bästa möjliga start och stöd i din nya roll kommer du att tilldelas en mentor under ditt första år hos oss.
Vi sätter stort värde vid att eleverna känner sig trygga och kan fokusera på sina studier. Därför är det viktigt att du är trygg i din lärarroll och har förmågan att skapa ett gott arbetsklimat i dina elevgrupper.
Viktig information om behörighet
Kandidaten ska ha giltig lärarlegitimation med behörighet i respektivt ämne. Ansök endast om man har giltig lärarlegitimation eller pågående utbildning. (Observera att svensk lärarlegitimation krävs för att erbjudas en permanent tillsvidareanställning.)

DESCRIPTION: Primary School Classroom Teacher
REPORTS TO: Principal, Vice Principal, and Subject Area Coordinator
Starting: August, 2025 - June 16, 2026 (Temporary, 100%)


Responsibility:
The Teacher reports directly to the Principal and Vice Principal and is responsible for active contribution to the philosophy, policies, and the well-being of Futuraskolan International School of Stockholm learners.


The teacher is expected to model personal characteristics from the International Primary Curriculum Personal Goals, in all aspects of employment, so that we can develop as a professional learning team.
Teaching and Learning
Collaborate in a teaching team to plan instruction that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of learners.
Encourage learners to set and maintain appropriate standards of classroom behavior.
Assess and evaluate the accomplishments of learners on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required, differentiating between knowledge, skills, and understanding
Take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and welfare of members of the class and, indirectly, for all children within the school during teaching times, break times and throughout the school day.
Maintain professional competence.
Employ contemporary techniques using modern methods and teaching aides as well as arranging field trips as appropriate to accomplish the desired goals.



Administrative
Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by the school.
Provide regular and constructive feedback via Schoolsoft, staff email, Google Classroom, newsletters, and whole-class or individual discussions promoting effective communication with the school community
Facilitate and organize parent teacher conferences as scheduled, remain accessible to learners and parents for education-related purposes as required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.
Participate in after school activities and attend various school functions, particularly when they pertain to your class or extracurricular club.
Take all necessary precautions to protect, maintain, and return all equipment and materials to designated areas.
Act as intermediary when special attention may be required to overcome academic problems for a learner in your charge; informing of all relevant staff.
Assist the administration in implementing all policies and procedures or rules governing student life and develop order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for Learning Assistants and volunteers, if provided.
Attend staff meetings, teacher in-service days, professional development seminars and serve on staff committees. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Coordinator or Principal



Curriculum
Prepare lesson and unit plans and establish clear instructional objectives based on curriculum, utilizing core teaching resources and supplementary materials.
Review curriculum documents as required by the various accreditation and authorization agencies.



Differentiation
Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and enquiry appropriate to the maturity and interests of the all learners
Promote a positive atmosphere supportive of student’s emotional and social well-being
Make provision for the needs of all learners and support and promote learning styles which cater to individual differences.



Teaching qualification is necessary. Experience teaching students from diverse cultures is encouraged.

Kvalifikationer och personliga egenskaper
Vi söker dig med socionomutbildning och minst två års arbetslivserfarenhet, gärna från en liknande roll som skolkurator. För att trivas i rollen ser vi gärna att du har:
Dokumenterad kunskap och erfarenhet av stödjande arbete med barn och ungdomar.

Teach knowledge and skills in art, including use of appropriate materials, techniques, design, aesthetics and history.

Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, and students
To set up and put away all art supplies at the end of the sessions.

Futuraskolan International School of Stockholm is seeking a dedicated professional to fill the dual role of Librarian and Middle School Learning Support Teacher.


Responsibility:
The Librarian and Learning Support Teacher reports directly to the Vice Principal and Principal, contributing to the philosophy, policies, and well-being of our learners. Librarian Duties: 50%
Manage and develop the school library collection
Promote literacy and foster a love of reading among students
Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum needs
Organize library events and activities
Maintain library systems and resources



Learning Support Duties: 50%
Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop individualized learning strategies
Design and communicate interventions for students with learning disabilities
Support teachers in managing Individual Learning Plan (ILP) creation process
Provide supplementary teaching to students requiring additional help
Implement effective teaching strategies to maximize student learning



Administrative:
Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions
Communicate with parents, teachers, and professionals regarding student progress
Attend staff meetings and professional development seminars

Curriculum:
Support classroom teachers by adapting learning materials and strategies for English and Mathematics, ensuring that students with diverse learning needs can access and engage with these core subjects effectively

Qualifications, Attributes and Experience Expectations:
Certified teaching credentials.
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience with library operations.
At least 2 years’ experience in the classroom.
Solid and demonstrable teaching experience in English, preferably IMYC/IPC
Creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom.
Excellent team player both within the department and across disciplines.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents.
Experience with working with students or groups.
International teaching experience and/or international curriculum.

REPORTS TO: Principal, Vice Principal, and Subject Area Coordinator
STARTING: As soon as possible (Full Time/ Temporary until June 2023)
Responsibility:
The Teacher reports directly to the Coordinator or Principal and is responsible for active contribution to the philosophy, policies, and the well-being of Futuraskolan International School of Stockholm learners.


The teacher is expected to model personal characteristics from the International Primary Curriculum and International Middle Years Curriculum personal curriculum, in all aspects of employment, for our learners and for our school so that we can develop as a professional learning team.


Teaching
Cooperate in a teaching team to plan instruction that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students. Work collaboratively with classroom/subject teachers to help prepare classroom materials as needed and to coordinate the EAL lessons to support the learning/work of the mainstream classes.
Meet and instruct, with prepared materials, assigned groups of children at designated times.
Encourage students to set and maintain appropriate standards of classroom behavior.
Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide written progress reports in December and June.
Take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and welfare of members of the class and, indirectly, for all children within the school during teaching times, break times and throughout the school day.
Employ contemporary techniques using modern methods and teaching aides as well as arranging field trips as appropriate to accomplish the desired goals.



Administrative
Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by the school.
Provide regular and constructive feedback via Admentum, staff email, Google Classroom, newsletters, and whole-class or individual discussions promoting effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
Attend parent teacher conferences as scheduled, remain accessible to students and parents for education-related purposes as required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.
Assist the administration in implementing all policies and procedures or rules governing student life and develop order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
Attend staff meetings, teacher in-service days, professional development seminars, and serve on staff committees. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Coordinator or Principal



Curriculum
Prepare written lesson plans and establish clear instructional objectives based on curriculum; utilizing core teaching resources and supplementary materials.
Review curriculum documents as required by the various accreditation and authorization agencies.
Develop and implement daily or weekly lesson plans and instructional materials in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of the students.



Differentiation
Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and enquiry appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students in the class.
Promote a positive atmosphere supportive of each student’s emotional well-being.
Make provision for the needs of all learners and support and promote learning styles which cater to individual differences.



Qualifications
Teaching qualification is necessary. Experience teaching students from diverse cultures is encouraged.
EAL or Learning Support certification.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and administrators.
Competent, positive, reliable team player.

Duties/Responsibilities
The Fritids responsibilities:
Opening & Closing school (morning and afternoon fritids)
Planning a 1 hour activity for 15-35 students 1 to 2 times per week
Evaluate your activity (what did/did not go well, ways to improve)
Attending & participating in weekly meetings
Help plan for Fall/Winter/Sports/Spring break
School yard duties during outdoor activity time
Proven experience of improving, and having a positive impact on, children's learning in the primary age range
A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom

The Learning Assistant responsibilities:
Provide instructional support for students.

REPORTS TO: Principal, Vice Principal, Department Coordinator
Starting: February - June 2022


Duties/Responsibilities:
Plan and teach Middle School Science in the IMYC curriculum framework.
Contribute to implementation and preparation materials of the IMYC curriculum.
Ensure a safe learning environment for students.
Be an active and contributing member of the school’s faculty.
Participate in the full range of professional activities in the school.
Actively contribute to the operational needs of the school.
Use a wide range of technologies and creative teaching styles.
Support the individual needs of students within a group.
Inform students about the requirements of internal assessments and help them plan their research, papers or Extended Essays.
Regularly contribute to curriculum planning and development including interdisciplinary work when possible.
Collaborate with colleagues to deliver effective team teaching when possible.
Develop assessments following IMYC use a wide range of formative assessment tools.
Attend regular curriculum planning and student progress meetings.
Keep parents informed about student progress and attend parent meetings.


Mentor responsibilities:
Keep regular contact with students to evaluate their progress and to help them overcome their difficulties.
Inform parents about student progress and make sure that they understand the IMYC.
Motivate students to be risk-takers in their learning environment and to strive for the best.
Make sure that collaboration happens between students and promote group work.
Keep the IMYC and Student Support coordinator informed about student progress and the difficulties that might arise.
Make sure that the students are aware of the learning profile and that our policies are aligned with the IMYC.



Qualifications, Attributes and Experience of the Middle School Science Teacher is expected to have:
Certified teaching credentials and teaching experience
Bachelor’s degree with a Science focus
Solid and demonstrable teaching experience in Math and Science, preferably IMYC

Vi söker en legitimerade speciallärare till Futuraskolan International med start i augusti 2021.
Arbetsuppgifter
Som speciallärare arbetar du tillsammans med elever och pedagoger för att skapa en lärmiljö som är tillgänglig och som ger de bästa förutsättningarna för våra elever. Du ingår i ett engagerat elevhälsoteam som lägger stor vikt vid det förebyggande och hälsofrämjande arbetet. Som speciallärare planerar och genomför du undervisning, kartläggningar och observationer av såväl enskilda elever som grupper. Du ansvarar även för att skriva och utvärdera åtgärdsprogram för elever i behov av särskilt stöd, inventera hjälpmedel och lära elever använda dem. Specialläraren medverkar även i verksamhets- och metodutveckling samt utgör ett viktigt stöd för ledningen och arbetslagen i arbetet med elever i behov av särskilt stöd.
Kvalifikationer
Vi söker dig som är legitimerad grundskollärare och har en speciallärarexamen. Har du tidigare erfarenhet av att arbeta som speciallärare är det meriterande. Du behöver ha god kunskap i skolans styrdokument och förmågan att tillämpa det i ditt dagliga arbete. Det är viktigt att du har god didaktisk- och pedagogisk förmåga samt att du har kunskap kring relevanta digitala verktyg.

Teaching:

DESCRIPTION: Primary Teacher Grades 1- 5REPORTS TO: PrincipalStarting: August 2019 (Full-time)The Teacher reports directly to the Coordinator or Principal and is responsible for active contribution to the realization of the Philosophy and Purpose, Objectives, and Policies of the School Board and the well-being of Futuraskolan International School of Stockholm students in all aspects.  He/she is expected to work in close consultation with management teams, actively promote openness and give constructive criticism and exhibit teamwork and initiative.  He/she is expected to model personal characteristics from the International Primary Curriculum personal curriculum, in word, demeanour, dress, punctuality, respect and performance that are desirable in the development of our students and for our school so that we can develop as a professional learning team.  The post holder will also be responsible for:Cooperate as a member of a teaching team to plan instructional programs in a timely manner that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of students.Meet and instruct, with prepared materials, assigned groups of children in the locations and at the times designated.  Encourage students to set and maintain appropriate standards of classroom behavior.Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.  Take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and welfare of members of the class and, indirectly, for all children within the school during teaching times, break times and throughout the school day.  Strive to maintain and improve professional competence.  Employ contemporary techniques using modern methods and teaching aides as well as arranging field trips as appropriate to accomplish the desired goals.  Maintain accurate, complete and correct records as required by the school.Consult with other relevant teachers and support staff to track performance, academic progress and pastoral care of students under your care. Provide regular and constructive feedback via Admentum, the website, staff e-mail, newsletters, and whole-class or individual discussions. Our aims is to promote effective communication with students, parents and colleagues to keep the school community informed on the activities and topics of the class and the progress our students. Attend parent teacher conferences as scheduled, as well as remain accessible to students and parents for education-related purposes, opinions and concerns beyond the school day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.  Participate in after school activities and attend various school functions, particularly when they pertain to your class or extracurricular club.Take all necessary precautions to protect, maintain and return all equipment and materials to designated areas.  Act as intermediary when special attention may be required to overcome academic problems for a student in your charge.  Inform and work with the relevant learning support teacher, EAL teacher, school psychologist or Principal. Assist the administration in implementing all policies and procedures or rules governing student life and develop order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.  Act as a mentor, if requested by the Principal or Coordinator, for a teacher new to the school.  Attend staff meetings, teacher in-service days, professional development seminarsPerform other duties as may be assigned by the Coordinator or PrincipalPrepare written lesson plans and establish clear instructional objectives based on curriculum  Create a classroom environment conducive to learning, demonstrating enquiry and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students in the class.Promote a nurturing atmosphere supportive of the student’s emotional well-being and positive social interaction.  Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the students involved.  Make provision for the needs of all learners and support and promote learning styles which cater to individual differences.  Teaching qualification from home country is necessary.
