Purpose of the job
The main purpose of this position is to fit our generic ETCS Onboard Automatic Train Protection System (ATP) into a specific vehicle (train) type. By this, the role includes over-all engineering work, from site visits (mainly in Scandinavia, but also supporting UK and Africa), to mechanical design and analysis of these.

Key Responsibilities:
• Field surveys including vehicle investigations of their characteristics.
• Interpret, generate, and fulfil requirements.
• Produce design/drawings/parts lists.
• Produce manufacturing instructions/checklists.
• Perform FEM (environmental and stress analysis).

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or similar in mechanical engineering.
• Proven record of relevant experience or cross-functional knowledge required in a similar role (i.e. directly linked to the requirements of the position/role).
• Knowledge in mechanical design in different CAD tools, such as: CATIA; Inventor, SolidWorks or similar.
• Knowledge of electrical schematics.
• Good MS Office knowledge is mandatory, including VISIO.
• Knowledge of DOORS and Rational Synergy are considered added-values.
• Experience of mechanical design in safety-critical systems is highly valued.
• Willing to travel (nationally and internationally).
• Open minded, easily adaptable, positive attitude towards new challenges.

Your mission?
As a System Design Group Manager you will be a key player in the design of our signalling systems. Together we develop the sustainable and safe transport solutions of tomorrow.
You will lead and manage a team consisting of System Designers, System Architects and Product Owners, focusing on delivering key signaling platform solutions for the global railway market.
Your key responsibilities?
Group management of the System Design team
Allocate resources to ensure timely delivery of development programs.

Minimum qualifications:
Engineering degree and/or master’s degree preferable in Computer science, Mechatronics, Electronic engineering, or equivalent
Strong background in System Engineering in Embedded Systems development, and you confidently master the entire system development cycle.
Strong experience in Model Based Systems Engineering and Requirements Engineering, and hands-on skills with the associated tools.
Experience in team management or other relevant leadership experience
Hands-on experience on functional or hierarchical team management
Cost and planning control experience in engineering scope


Ideally:
Knowledge of CENELEC railway standards (or equivalent standards if needed: AREMA, IEEE, European TSI, etc.) and safety methodology, concepts, and principles.
Great experience in product development, preferably of a complex safety related system
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Fluent command of the English language, orally and in writing (mandatory)
Command of the Swedish language (bonus) or a strong drive to learn Swedish.

The life cycle for electronic products for the railway industry is normally more than 30 years. This places high demands on the design, industrialization and management of the product.

The main task of the PIM (Product Industrialization Manager) is to manage the industrial quality during the complete life cycle for electronic signaling products developed in Sweden, which includes:
Supporting in DFx (Design For Manufacturing, Testability, Reliability and Repairability) in the electronic HW development process.
Managing the industrial process for electronic products.
Life Cycle Management (Quality, Cost, Delivery) for electronic products.


This role spans over a wide area, which requires a lot but at the same time means great opportunities for personal development.

The PIM is the main industrialization contact for all functions and will work close together with our external electronic suppliers, product program manager, HW development teams, bids, quality team, component engineers etc.

Your experience and required competencies:

University Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience
1-3 years of manufacture production experience or in a similar role
Language skills required: advanced/business fluent level of English. It could be beneficial to have at least a medium level of Swedish.
Experience in working with Engineering, Procurement, Quality and external Suppliers.
Knowledge about electronics (PCBA) manufacturing and its processes

Project Planner - Onboard
Do you want to join a world leader in the railway sector? Alstom Sweden is looking for an ambitious Project Planner - Onboard.
Sweden has set an ambitious and radical goal to upgrade the totality of its mainline network. Alstom is there to set this ambition to life and has started the deployment of state-of-the-art ERTMS level 2 baseline 3 signaling technology both on the trackside infrastructure and train fleets. This technology will drastically improve the passenger experience by reducing the number of delays and increasing transport capacity.
As a Project Planner - Onboard, you will be working in close collaboration with the project manager to provide accurate information in order to update and follow the Project master schedule. Industrialization Engineer in our nicely located office in Stockholm.


Your mission will be to:

Control the industrial control of the special processes and to manage industrial quality, cost and delivery of signalling products during all life cycle.
In this role you will be part of a global team and working close together with the Product Design Authority for a wide range of signalling products.


Your responsibilities will include:

Tender:Contribute to tender phase, especially in product design an industrialization to take into account industrial constraints and requirements in order to optimize cost and minimize risks when needed
Concurrent Engineering:Define the most efficient industrial scheme (prototype, serial & repairs)
Contributes during specification and design phases to technical solutions decisions associated to special processes
Build the special process REX (Return of Experience) and interact with product engineering to redirect the design if necessary
Performs in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and support DFT (Design for Testability) in the electronic HW development process.
Industrialization:Manage industrial risk through Process FMEA and associated improvement action plan. Foster generic FMEA for standard manufacturing process (e.g. electronic products)
Define requirements and rules (Design for manufacturing) for associated tooling necessary to start production
Qualify the product/process pair as well as industrial means to be put in place in line with the design
Support sourcing and SQD teams in the suppliers’ qualification and in quality follow up for suppliers concerned by SP (Special Processes). Contribute to development of suppliers
Manage evolution of quality control process dedicated to SP
Ensure deployment and validation of new processes in line with product/ project planning
Issue relevant documents in the Quality System
Support Transfer of Technology on SP: documentation, process and means validation, training
Complies with EHS Alstom and external standards
Train support functions to business rules linked to SP and DFM.


Your experience and required competencies:

University Degree in Engineering – preferred Electronics
Experience from manufacturing processes – preferred electronics manufacturing
Language skills required: advanced/business fluent level of English. It could be beneficial to have at least a medium level of Swedish.
Experience in working with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, external Suppliers – preferred.

Your mission:

Take part in major developments by proving that the design is fit for its intended use, through implementation and execution of Verification, Integration and Test activities, fitting the targets in terms of Quality and Delivery.
Detail and perform all the in-house activities in the scope of the V&V team, and interface experts delegated in other departments.

Your experience and qualifications:

Educational requirements
Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent work experience in development projects
English mandatory and Swedish business fluent are highly valued for this role


Experience
Technical experience within system integration and testing in development projects. Good understanding of HW and SW interactions within complex system architectures.
At least 2 years in relevant positions (systems / sub-systems integration, embedded equipment, electrotechnical product development) in a highly complex and normative environment (railway signaling, aerospace, defense, nuclear) would be a major asset
Experience of ERTMS or other safety-critical systems is highly valued
Knowledge of DOORS and Rational Synergy are considered valued
Understanding and experience in Software coding are considered valued.

The Nordics Onboard Organization is a multi-disciplinary team which work near end customers. Our main task is to lead and secure safe integration of ETCS onboard system in our customers vehicles. We are working through the complete value chain from bids to final vehicle approvals from different national authorities

Your mission will be to:

Analyze the input needs, requirements, and design of the solution by re-using existing solutions or by developing a new solution or adapting an existing one.
Formalize and maintain the system specifications (operational, functional, and constructional), application rules.
Write specification, requirements tracing, analyze product requirements, support with test specifications for sub-products and/or vehicle tests.
Supporting processes descriptions and their associated verification, validation and assessments.


Your responsibilities will include:

Applying process, methods and tools as referenced by the program plans.
In collaboration with the Design Authority and under the control of the Onboard Manager you will contribute to the system design and specification according to the development strategy established in the Engineering Management Plan.
For the system design:Analyze, clarify and confirm input requirements and needs.
Performing conceptual design by preparing system models, design studies, design rationales, design principles, real time analysis, modelling & mock-ups, for technical de-risking and optimization.
Solving interfaces.
Calling, conducting, and participating to technical reviews (design reviews, document reviews)
For the system specification (system formalization):Elaborating formal modelling and requirements writing according to design standard and guidelines.
Formalizing and maintaining the system specification according to applicable templates content.

Your mission

Making Train the most attractive mobility solutions for people and freights by ensuring railway fleets are reliable, available and maintained through their life cycle.


Your role

Your will be the customer primary point of contact to supply equipment and spare parts or railway vehicles. You will handle customer enquiries, providing quotation and ensure their deliveries.
