The Engineering & Performance Optimization Lead has a key role in ensuring the successful com missioning, startup, and long-term operational excellence of the Direct Reduction Iron (DRI) plant. This position will collaborate closely with OEM engineering team s during the design and com missioning phases, then transition into the operations team to benchmark, analyze, and optimize plant performance against global DRI industry standards. The role focuses on enhancing productivity, reliability, and product quality through continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities (not limited to)

3. Reliability & Maintenance Support: Work with reliability engineers to optimize maintenance strategies.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with production, maintenance, and engineering teams
5. Sustainability & Green Hydrogen Transition: Support decarbonization goals by optimizing hydrogen-based reduction parameters and minimizing natural gas usage (if applicable).
6 . Operational Readiness & Competency Development:
7 . Risk Manageent & Process Safety: Participate in HAZOP , LOP A, and other risk assessment workshops to ensure process safety during both com missioning and operation.
8 . Strategic Business Contribution: Provide techno-economic evaluations for perform enhancing CAP EX proposals. Experience Extensive experience in similar role, preferably in a plant operations & maintenance of HBI and HDRI, or similar products, with a strong focus on managing, leading and/ or improving DRI process and technology in high-dem and industrial environments. Strong background in com missioning, troubleshooting, and performance benchmarking Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and lean manufacturing principles Experience in greenfield projects, startups or commissioning. Strong process and technical knowledge in the relevant field. Experience in ISO system s 90 0 1/ 1 40 0 1/ 4 50 0 1. Ability to maintain focus and perform effectively under pressure in fast paced or demanding situations

As Project Engineer you will play a key role in the establishment of our production facilities worldwide. You will be based in Stockholm and be part of the project team. You will facilitate effective communication, collaboration and integration among various stakeholder to ensure project progress. As the role has a global scope, international travel will be part of the work. You will report to Chief Project Officer Johan Löw, and work in close collaboration with other colleagues within the company.
Responsibilities
Assist the project manager in developing project plans, schedules and budgets
Collaborate with the project manager to define project goals, deliverables, and milestones
Support the project manager in monitoring the project’s progress and ensuring compliance with the timeline
Work with procurement and ensure adherence to the procurement plan
Collaborate with the project manager in evaluating engineering designs, specifications and requirements
Assist in reviewing project deliverables to ensure compliance with technical standards
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members
Assist in maintaining accurate project records, including contracts, change orders and approvals

Background and experience
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering
1-3 years of experience working in industry or industrial projects.
A team player who can share knowledge and experiences to collectively arrive at the best solution
Fluent in English and Swedish. Knowledge in more languages is an advantage

This is a position where you will play a key role in the establishment of our production facilities worldwide. You will collaborate closely with our other company functions, especially Operations and Technical teams. You will report to the Director of projects (CPO) who is based in Stockholm. As part of the project team, you will facilitate effective communication, collaboration, and integration among various stakeholders to ensure project progress. Responsibilities
Lead and manage automation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Oversee the design, development and implementation of automation systems and solutions.
Manage project teams, providing guidance and motivation to ensure high performance and successful outcomes.
Identify and mitigate risks to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and safety protocols.
Evaluate new automation technologies and methodologies to stay at the forefront of industry trends.

Background and experience
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical or automation engineering
More than 10 years of experience working with automation for industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems.
Project management experience
A team player who can share knowledge and experiences to collectively arrive at the best solution.
Fluent in English is a must. Swedish and the knowledge in more languages is an advantage.
