You will be part of the engineering team responsible for commissioning and starting up the factory's automation and production quality and systems.

We're seeking an experienced SAP Production and Procurement specialist for one of our clients in the manufacturing sector. Initially, it's a 6-month consultant role with promising potential for permanent employment directly with the client.
Our client is bolstering their IT department by recruiting a specialist in SAP Production and Procurement. With your adept understanding of logistical and production processes in manufacturing, you'll adeptly integrate these functions into the SAP system. As part of a collaborative team, you'll leverage your expertise to provide essential support and drive value for the company.
Roles and responsibilities
With your hands-on-mentality you:
Understand the business requirements and take a leading role in positioning SAP as a strategic solution.
Provide guidance and assistance to internal stakeholders in making informed decisions regarding SAP deployment and supporting their day-to-day operations.
Demonstrate expertise in your field, contributing significantly to both national and international SAP projects.
Collaborate closely with production and supply chain teams across Europe.
Evaluate and enhance current business processes to align with organizational needs.
Maintain and enhance the ECC6 SAP system within the PP/MM/WM module, including support, addressing change requests, and contributing substantially to international projects within your domain.
Develop and maintain necessary documentation, processes, and policies.
Conduct gap analyses and facilitate the transition from current processes to desired future states.
Take charge of organizing and delivering training and educational initiatives.
Master’s degree or equivalent level achieved through practical experience.
Possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Completed at least one full implementation cycle, leveraging extensive functional expertise primarily within the PP/MM/WM module.
Demonstrated proficiency in production, procurement, and warehouse management within SAP ECC.
Skilled in IMG configuration and proficient in executing full system flows.
Thorough understanding of master data management within the PP/MM/WM domain.
Capable of developing and executing LSMW processes to update and create master data.
Ability to debug issues when necessary.
Knowledge and comprehension of business processes and interfaces with other modules such as FI/CO and SD is essential for translating requirements into SAP solutions.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Willingness to travel as required.
Possess an adaptable and open-minded approach, complemented by a structured work ethic and strong analytical capabilities.
Experience with S4 Hana is advantageous but not mandatory.

In general, you have long experience in the field, and have led large, innovative and challenging automation projects with very high accuracy and scale requirements. You have a deep understanding and practical experience of integrating highly varied and complex equipment in higher automation levels and developing some of the most advanced control systems in the world. You work symbiotically with the facility design and manufacturing engineering team, translating their input into sharp specifications and organizing the execution in an ecosystem of external suppliers and own developers.
The key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Develop, design, maintain, and implement the design system in the factory.
Commission new equipment.
Troubleshoot as part of the maintenance procedures.
Work together with the industrial automation systems construction team to test and verify upgrades and test applications.
Join the team that will give our operating team the tools to run the most advanced and efficient production factory in the world.
Review technical design documentation (requirements specifications, functional design, logic diagrams, test cases, and test protocols).
