Medical Head Nordics



Location: Stockholm, Sweden (primary) or Copenhagen, Denmark (flexible/hybrid).



Job Summary
The Medical Head Nordics leads the Medical Affairs function across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland. This role is part of the Nordic leadership team, working closely with the GM and reporting solid-line to the Regional Medical Affairs Head. The Medical Head manages two MSLs (Sweden and Denmark) and oversees medical strategy, execution, and cross-functional partnerships to support key launches.



Key Responsibilities

*

Lead Medical Affairs strategy and execution across the Nordic cluster, including ownership of the annual medical plan and alignment with global/regional strategy.

*

Manage and develop the Nordic Medical team (MSLs/Medical Advisors), ensuring scientific excellence, field execution, KPI achievement, and strong KOL/HCP engagement.

*

Drive medical leadership for product launches through cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, and Marketing teams.

*

Oversee scientific communication and evidence generation, including medical training, congress participation, medical review of materials, and alignment with Global Clinical Operations.

*

Ensure compliance and coordination across medical governance, including awareness of pharmacovigilance requirements, SOP implementation, medical information handling, and representation of Medical Affairs in the Nordic Leadership Team.



Key Requirements



*

Advanced Scientific Education: Medical Degree, PharmD, PhD, or MSc in Health Sciences.

*

Medical Affairs & Clinical Experience: Experience in Pharma, preferably with Dermatology, Immunology, or Allergology background; strong understanding of commercial context and local healthcare systems.

*

Scientific Communication & Medical Writing: Proven ability to develop and present scientific content to diverse audiences, including senior KOLs.

*

Interpersonal & Cross-Functional Skills: Ability to build credible relationships, work effectively in a matrix organization, and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

*

Strategic, Organized, and Adaptable: Demonstrated ability to prioritize and operate in a fast-changing environment, manage meetings, travel frequently, and communicate fluently in English and relevant local languages.

We are in an exciting phase and looking for hiring a MSL experienced with biologics, ideally also with aesthetics dermatology, for the Nordic markets. Galderma is currently launching products in both therapeutic dermatology and injectable aesthetics where the MSL is a key role.

The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) is a key internal expert, providing a field-based scientific and clinical support to healthcare professionals to maintain a high level of medical, scientific and technical knowledge and expertise in relation to Dermatology.



The MSL develops and maintains professional relationships with internal and external customers both physicians and extenders to provide comprehensive medical & scientific and education support to Galderma initiatives in assigned areas of interest. The MSL will focus on providing healthcare practitioners, clinical investigators, professional organizations and patients organizations, the opportunity for scientific exchange and gathering insights to provide medical, scientific and education support for prioritized services and products within Galderma's portfolio.



Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain professional and trustful relationships with key opinion/ thought leaders (KOLs/KTLs) and academic centers to ensure access to current medical and scientific information on areas of therapeutic interest.
* Together with your cross-functional team of customer facing colleagues, contribute with non-promotional trainings, education, presentations, and other engagement.
* Develop, maintain and share internally and externally an in-depth knowledge of Dermatology/Skin disorders.
* Develop and implement effective educational messaging to increase scientific awareness and advocacy of Galderma Integrated Dermatology products and services including GAIN injector training among health care providers in the field (Aesthetics)
* Deliver credible scientific and medical presentations to physicians, healthcare providers and other stakeholders as needed.
* Identify, develop and maintain contact with local, regional and national key opinion leaders and experts through internally approved field engagement plans.
* Contribute to identify physicians, investigators, healthcare providers and administrative stakeholders requiring support from medical scientific liaison and with the aim to increase the diversity profiles of our, KOLs/ KTLs, HCPs so that we better meet the needs of every skin story.



Skills & Qualifications

* Medical, Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry - or higher degree qualification (e.g. MD, PhD, Master) in a relevant life sciences field.
* Dermatology/Aesthetics experience is advantageous.
* Related medical and/or research and development experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices industry would be desirable
* Demonstrable experience of developing and presenting scientific/medical content at a variety of levels, including to practicing clinical peers and seniors is essential.
* Good communication and presentation skills are essential.
* Meeting planning and facilitation skills and ability to interface effectively with a variety of technical platforms
* Ability to function in a team-oriented (matrix) environment.
* Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
* Ability to develop good relationships and credibility with medical professionals.
* Fluency in Swedish and English is necessary for this role.
* A category B driving license.

Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Nordic Brand Manager to join our team and lead the implementation of Marketing Management and Strategic Marketing strategy across the Nordic region for our prescription portfolio.

You will be instrumental in launching our new innovative biological treatment during 2025, leaving great opportunities to help patients and utilize your strong marketing experience.



To succeed in this role, you will use your strategic skills, operationally engage and work together with the team, build internal and external networks, ensure alignment with other functions, and interact well in our cross functional environment. Key Responsibilities

* Provide input to and lead implementation of Marketing Management / Strategic Marketing strategy, its programs and policies to drive and manage growth, retention and margin development, including launch and positioning of products/ services in market with focus on creating a sustainable competitive advantage to enable future profitable growth for the business
* Develop and implement marketing programs tailored to the Nordics market and aligned with global marketing strategy
* Execute marketing plans to achieve strategic objectives and deliver business targets
* Devise and deploy marketing campaigns
* Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, medical, and customer service to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the Nordics region incl. HCP's
* Analyse market, patient insights, and competitive activity to optimize marketing strategies and tactics
* Pro-actively manage and optimize marketing budget to maximize impact
* Work with regional and global marketing teams to share best practices, leverage existing assets, and ensure consistency in branding and messaging
* You will be an important voice for the Nordic region in our global and regional organization



Skills & Qualifications

* A university degree in relevant industry or an MBA is preferred.
* Proven experience of implementing pharmaceutical marketing strategies including end to end product launch experience, preferably in biologics or specialty care pharmaceuticals
* Ability to think strategically, while also being highly operational and tactical
* Business partnering and stakeholder management
* Hands?on problem solving skills and action oriented (Make things happen)
* Structured with project lead skills

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Nordics Access and Reimbursement Lead. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing and executing access strategies, engaging with national and regional payer authorities, and ensuring the availability of our products to patients in the Nordic countries.



Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with local and global teams to identify local payer stakeholder needs.

Lead the adaptation of global payer value proposition and objection handler locally.
*

Ensure timely submission of Pricing and Reimbursement dossiers for optimal market access conditions.
*

Monitor local Pricing and Reimbursement landscape, identifying risks and maintaining knowledge of funding pathways.
*

Collaborate with global and local agencies to develop country-specific evidence and economic models.
*

Lead adaptation of Budget Impact/Cost-Effectiveness models, identifying relevant data sources.
*

Prepare local pricing and negotiation strategy in collaboration with global and local teams.
*

Maintain up-to-date pricing information, communicating changes to the Global Pricing team.
*

Submit price requests to Region/Global in sufficient time for evaluation.



Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in life science, pharmacy, health economics, or a related field.
*

Several years of experience in market access on the Nordics market. Preferably experienced in securing Pricing and Reimbursement (P&R) for biologic or innovative medicines.
*

Substantial experience in submitting dossiers, navigating the submission process, and demonstrating ideal work, particularly within the countries and involving health economics knowledge.
*

Fluent in English and at least one Nordic language



Expertise in dermatology, immunology, or biology is ideal but not mandatory. Preference given to candidates with experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
