About the position:
The Editorial Manager is responsible for coordinating the efforts of the Editorial team. You do this by assigning team members to shows, and for shows that don’t have a dedicated editor, you are the first point of contact, managing editorial requests by prioritizing and assigning these to appropriate team members. To do this you collaborate closely with the show's core teams to assess their needs and their urgency. You keep relevant stakeholders informed about changes in availability, delays, changes to processes and workflows.
Your Main Tasks:
Receive and Ingest materials for editorial and request updates when required
Import line-up data to Shotgun
Define and update task assignments based on show needs and ticket priorities.
Promote ownership and responsibility within the team and provide opportunities for artists to grow.
Identify and flag any creative, technical or crewing issues which may threaten client deliveries. Collaborate with stakeholders within the show and/or globally to find solutions. If necessary escalate to ProdOps and Talent Development Team for the well being of crew and show.
Assist in overall team communication.
Attend peer and global meetings to discuss workflows topics: raising issues, providing feedback and discussing new potential solutions
Participate in global projects to help advance new discipline workflows when needed
Provide feedback to and about artists and supervisors you work with.
Support Talent Development Team, reviewing portfolios and participating in new candidates interviews.



About You:
• You have 5+ years experience from Editorial Manager or role or similar/relevant roles within the VFX industry
• You speak and write English fluently

As a Production Manager at ILP, You are responsible for the production schedule and budget of the show in close collaboration with the VFX Supervisor. Your main responsibility is to bring the visual effects in on budget and on schedule to client satisfaction.
You are the key line between the work on the production floor and the overall view of the project, and where it all fits together in the bigger scheme. Working closely with Pirates in all capacities, you not only get a unique insight in all parts of the work, but you also get to learn and get to know all of the parts (and pirates) that make the whole. As a PM you can both work independently and run all production related matters on smaller shows, or lead a production team with several coordinators managing a much bigger scope - all depending on the incoming projects, your skills and preferences and the carefully considered dynamics within a team.
You closely collaborate with the Heads of Departments and Production Operations/Resourcing for purposeful and effective crewing and milestones tracking as well as bidding of potential projects.
Your work will include:
Working with the Leads and Supervisors to create, implement and run the schedule, track and manage the workflow through the departments and meet internal and external deadlines

As a prep artist at ILP you are the first in a chain of great artists, and will have to provide the prep material before any other of the departments start with their work. You are expected to take ownership of your work. Specifically we are looking for our prep artist to be able to do roto and cleanup tasks, set up rotoguide and cleanupguide scripts from scratch, helping with any other prep work needed like making NoVfx shots, references, ImagePlane or at times use an agreed upon template or method, as well as share any good solutions you find with your colleagues and leads.
We want our prep artist to communicate with whomever they need to in order to do their tasks. This means talking with your prep Supervisor to resolve any issues with the renders or if your milestone targets are unrealistic. We want our prep artists to be able to add their creativity and ideas to their work and there are usually room for creative suggestions outside of the original brief.
Although years of experience are valuable, mostly we are looking for artists with a great attitude towards learning and a passion for doing quality work.

Your need the following:
Solid knowledge of Nuke, our main compositing package
Ability to use the roto and cleanup nodes and any relevant nodes that can help with the work of roto and cleanup tasks
Very good knowledge of any other softwares that are good for any prep work like Silhouette or Mocha pro
Solid knowledge of roto and cleanup techniques
Understanding of motion blur, defocus, use of tracking and camera track
Understanding and using of vector tracking
Hand paint - frame by frame
Hand roto - one frame mask
Understanding of basic compositing
Keying green and blue screen, including setting up
Edge treatments, including DOFed and motion blurred areas
CG integration, that will help when doing the roto or cleanup tasks, or when doing QC on the outsource roto and cleanup material

As a 3D Light Supervisor at ILP it's your responsibility to support the VFX supervisors vision, and PMs schedule, to deliver the show in all of its areas. You will be responsible for facilitating communication within the team and between departments and when necessary the client. Your secondary responsibility is to develop, support and QC creative and technical approaches in her/his own department. You will also help with the development of other artists.
In addition, we expect our light supervisors to be able to do hands on work when needed, which includes lighting related tasks as well as basic modelling and lookdev as well as slap compositing of shots. A clear understanding of the entire VFX pipeline is also important as it helps in communicating effectively with the other disciplines.
We currently use Houdini for most scene assembly, Arnold for rendering and Nuke for compositing. That said, we always premiere quick learners over software specific knowledge.

Solid understanding of lighting, particle systems, post-processes, material setup, blueprint scripting and general workflows in Unreal Engine.
Knowledge of one or more DCC tools such as Maya, Houdini, Blender
Strong core understanding of general 3D asset creation and animation pipelines
Solid understanding of the realtime render pipeline
Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
Ability to troubleshoot, optimize and reduce scene complexity with respect to quality as well as determine out-of-the-box solutions for complex technical requirements

As a Production Manager at ILP, You are responsible for the production schedule and budget of the show in close collaboration with the VFX Supervisor. Your main responsibility is to bring the visual effects in on budget and on schedule to client satisfaction.
You are the key line between the work on the production floor and the overall view of the project, and where it all fits together in the bigger scheme. Working closely with Pirates in all capacities, you not only get a unique insight in all parts of the work, but you also get to learn and get to know all of the parts (and pirates) that make the whole. As a PM you can both work independently and run all production related matters on smaller shows, or lead a production team with several coordinators managing a much bigger scope - all depending on the incoming projects, your skills and preferences and the carefully considered dynamics within a team.
You closely collaborate with the Heads of Departments and Production Operations/Resourcing for purposeful and effective crewing and milestones tracking as well as bidding of potential projects.
You will be reporting to the Head of Production / COO.


Your work will include:
Working with the Leads and Supervisors to create, implement and run the schedule, track and manage the workflow through the departments and meet internal and external deadlines
Overseeing Coordinators and ensure the good organisation of dailies, rounds and meetings, including the taking of notes and follow-up of information
Issuing weekly internal and client progress reports
Anticipating artist and production bottlenecks before they happen
Overseeing the execution of client deliveries for all temps and finals
Making sure the milestones schedule is respected
Working with internal departments to address project issues, and ensure good communication
Proposing different solutions when problems occur on the project at every level
Taking responsibility for knowing the details of the schedule and advising the Coordinators accordingly
Anticipating and communicating issues to the Executive Producer and Supervisor in order to resolve problems quickly



You need the following:

VFX Coordinator
The VFX Coordinator’s role is to ensure an accurate and efficient flow of information and assist the project team in the smooth running of a VFX production.
What you will be doing all day?
Coordinate the flow of information and materials within a project.
Walk the floor, gather artist needs and follow-up on action items.
Keep on top of VFX shots, tasks and notes statuses; inform appropriate people as issues arise.
Coordinate and participate in project meetings and client calls.
Take accurate notes and distribute appropriately. 
Ensure the timely and accurate send-off and reception of materials to and from the client.
Keep all project related databases up to date
