The role:
At FirstVet, we work in small cross-functional autonomous teams focusing on building the future of pet care by developing different aspects of our product. The Tech E-commerce team owns our entire E-commerce platform, from warehouse integrations, to frontend views and anything in between. In this role you will be a key part of improving and extending that platform, with clear product targets and a modern tech stack.
Regardless of your experience, we expect you to actively challenge yourself as well as your colleagues in improving our services. We believe that you have the ability to independently, or with the support from your team drive, technical solutions from start to completion. Learning is fundamental, not just new technologies but also understanding what drives our customers to use our services within the product.
Although we don’t expect you to know everything, hopefully you’re familiar with our tech stack: Node.js, Vue.js and Nuxt.
Your responsibilities:
Design and develop our services connected to our e-commerce platform
Work in close cooperation with our product team to create intuitive and engaging UI/UX solutions
Improve and streamline our delivery pipeline
Make sure that we have good metrics, monitoring and alerting in place
Strive to continuously learn and master the latest technologies and techniques
Deliver innovative work that sets the bar for everyone around you

Desired qualifications:
5+ years of work experience as a fullstack engineer
Be familiar with our tech stack: Node.js, Vue.js and Nuxt
Previous experience of working with AWS (or similar cloud providers), Docker and My
Proven ability to collaborate with team members and other stakeholders with a consultative and proactive approach
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Previous experience working with CI/CD pipelines & test automation is a plus
Previous experiences working with consumer centered products is a plus

The role
As an Engineering Manager at FirstVet, your main responsibility is to build high-performing teams by establishing effective ways of working and develop individual team members. You will lead and manage five to ten software engineers, making sure that they have what they need in order to be successful.
A key part of your job is to build a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive culture of psychological safety. You promote an environment where the team feels autonomy and ownership within their domain. In case of failures, you facilitate blameless learning opportunities and make sure that these are shared across the organization. Who we are looking for
You have previous experience managing teams of software engineers and are passionate about your direct reports' professional and personal development.
You have:
A passion for leadership and experience in building and leading high-performing software development teams.
Minimum one year of managerial experience, preferably from a scaling organization.
Strong technical background to be able to coach your teams in their way of working.
Solid experience of agile methodologies and modern software engineering best practices.
Experience in planning and driving projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
A strong drive to understand your team's challenges and continuously improve.
Excellent communication skills in English, other languages are not required.

This means that you will work with scheduling and ensure that there are enough veterinarians in the service to provide our customers with the best pet care. You will be the go-to person for any questions the veterinarians might have, if they call in sick, or want to swap shifts with each other.
The role is broad and you will be in contact with all our veterinarians in the Nordic markets. You will work closely with our Operations Manager and work on how to improve our work with scheduling, both short and long-term. Having the ability to see things from a business perspective along with the veterinarians best in mind will be your key to success.
In addition to scheduling, you will be responsible for administrative tasks in the veterinarian operations team and work on veterinarian happiness projects to create commitment and team spirit in the group.

Work with short-term staffing in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark to balance out supply and demand when needed
Working closely together with the Veterinarian Operations Manager and support with various administrative tasks, such as assist in implementing models to forecast long-term staffing in relation to seasonality
Work with happiness projects within the team to make sure our veterinarians feel appreciated and engaged
Assist in onboarding and offboarding of veterinarians
Participate with knowledge and support to global VetOps meetings and projects

As FirstVet’s Head of Paid User Acquisition you’ll shape our in-house strategy and process regarding paid user acquisition for our two main business areas: our e-commerce and video app. You’ll be at the forefront of our initiatives driving growth through acquisition of new users worldwide, working closely with the Country Managers, Marketing Leads, Analysts and other marketing experts. You'll be in charge of large budgets and are expected to reach ambitious goals globally, with an emphasis on the US, UK, Germany and Sweden. In return you’ll have a unique opportunity to become a key player in an exciting global growth company. You will report to the Chief Marketing Officer.
You’re a self-starter who enjoys strategy as much as working hands-on in the advertising tools. We believe that you currently work with digital growth at a marketing agency or in-house at a B2C company, e.g. within consumer services and apps, e-commerce or subscriptions.
As FirstVet’s Head of Paid User Acquisition, you’ll work closely with our team of marketers and subject experts to optimize towards low Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and high Return on Ad Spend (ROAS). You’ll work towards pre-defined Life Time Value (LTV) and other relevant KPI:s.
Your responsibilities:
Making growth projections based on available targets, budget and data, together with C-level leaders and Country Marketing Leads
Responsible for developing, managing and following up on campaigns that drive users via paid channels, such as Google Search and Bing
Campaign optimization will include: bid strategy, keyword research and optimization, copy improvements, landing page recommendations
Effectively manage campaign expenses by staying on budget, estimate upcoming monthly costs and reconcile any discrepancies you might identify
Identify trends, collect insights, recommend and implement tests
Research and competitor analysis
KPI tracking, analyzing and reporting to internal stakeholders
Manage our relationship with Google. Facebook, and other relevant media representatives
You are the sole owner of the annual user acquisition budget for seven international markets

Requirements:
5 years of hands-on experience with Performance Marketing and Google Paid Search
Proven track record in driving traffic, conversion and optimization of campaigns
Is up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Google Adwords and Bing
Confidence in using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager and other analytical tools such as Adjust, Appfigures, FireBase and Google Datastudio.
Experience from Facebook Business Manager, including Instagram advertising
Previous experience in working with consumer apps and consumer e-commerce for international brands
Fluency in English
Communication skills: you are clear and straight to the point in your reporting and recommendations
