Main Responsibilities
Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for production processes.
Lead and drive the implementation of process development projects (new products/optimizations), including scale-up, implementation, and validation, in close collaboration with other team members, production, and process development.
Responsible for continuous improvements of the production processes and technologies with a focus on quality, capacity, and cost efficiency.
Evaluate process impact in cases such as deviations, CAPAs, and Change Controls.
Approve documentation related to process impact, e.g., study reports, BPRs, SOPs.
Responsible for ongoing monitoring of the production processes and for organizing cross-functional review meetings.
Collaborate closely with adjacent functions such as Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D.
Define and ensure relevant process documentation is available and up to date for production processes, e.g., process descriptions, critical process parameters, list of critical starting materials, process verification reports, SOPs, BPRs, instructions, and records.
Responsible for knowledge sharing and training within the area of responsibility.

Qualifications & Profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality regulated biopharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing, with a focus on protein production, upstream/midstream/downstream processing, or related operations. 
Demonstrated experience as Subject Matter Expert (SME) or technical lead in process development, optimization, or validation.
Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, such as cell culture, purification, or formulation, preferably involving recombinant proteins.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Main tasks and responsibility:

Proficiency in both written and spoken English; fluency in Swedish is a plus.
Strong understanding of utilities, including HVAC, LAF, gas handling, and water systems.
Experience in documentation, including writing according to quality management systems and the qualification of facilities/equipment.
Experience with clean room facilities is an advantage.

Experience in purchasing and logistics from a production setting is required for this position; ideally, it comes from the biotech or pharmaceutical industries. In this function, production plans are translated into tactical and operational collaborations with our suppliers.

The Role & Responsibilities

The Procurement Specialist will work with a dynamic team, managing strategic sourcing, operational purchasing, sales planning, order management, customer support, and distribution. The supply chain team and BioLamina are currently in a development phase, with a strong emphasis on meeting our KPIs and objectives and streamlining our supply chain.

Key responsibilities

- Contribute to the development and implementation of sourcing and category strategies in liaison with cross-functional teams to understand procurement requirements.

- Prepare proposals and negotiate purchase terms, and skillfully negotiate agreements to secure the best terms and conditions.

- Drive supplier evaluations, development, performance score card, negotiations etc.

- Manage procurement and the inbound flow of supplies and equipment for the manufacturing process in accordance with handling procedures, administrative practices, and quality standards.

- Develop routines and processes for procurement and the inbound flow of materials.

- Provide secure and innovative system support to meet material control and quality needs.

- Maintain master data by making sure the ERP system is appropriately updated with contract pricing lists, article data, and supplier data, among other things.

Requirements

Qualifications

- A degree in the appropriate field, or a minimum of five years of work experience.

- Production background from the pharmaceutical or biotech industries, with a minimum of two years’ work experience.

- Proficiency with ERP systems and documentation, ideally with SAP Business One or a comparable system.

- Skills in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

- Ability to write and speak English well, Swedish is a merit.

About the position:

The Bioprocess Operator participates actively in all areas of production where trained/certified to carry out the tasks, working independently as well as part of a team. Responsible for delegated areas within the overall responsibility of the department.

Job Tasks:

- Performing production of recombinant proteins according to written procedures for which training/ certification has been received (upstream and downstream operations, media and buffer preparations, equipment handling and cleaning, materials handling, production, and facility support)

- Documentation of activities according to QMS by recording events in, for example BPRs, logbooks, stock cards as well as reporting of unexpected events in applicable reports

- Identify and participate in deviation investigations, CAPA and change control activities.

- Hold specific responsibilities to manage the production system, e.g., responsibility for equipment according to the equipment list and FMS on-call responsibility.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree within science, technology, biochemistry or equivalent working experience

- 1-2 years of working experience in life science, biotech or the chemical industry

- Laboratory science background and/or previous experience working in the process industry with upstream processing, or equivalent qualification

- Office computing skills: Word and Excel

- A strong command of written and spoken English. Swedish language ability is a bonus

Desirable requirements:

- Experience working with Bioreactor/cell culturing

- Experience in biotechnological production of recombinant proteins, aseptic working techniques, and cleanrooms

- Experience working with chromatography, big-scale buffer preparation, and aseptic liquid handling

- Experience from downstream processing

- Working according to GMP
