We are now recruiting an Investment Director to join Austrade's Stockholm team, located at the Australian Embassy. The position requires a highly motivated senior team member with experience in foreign direct investment (FDI) and international business development.

The Investment Director will be part of a small team attracting game-changing FDI to Australia, supporting strategic industries and bolstering our world-class research and development - strengthening supply chains, creating local jobs and boosting Australia's economy.

Duties include:
. Proactively identify, target and work closely with potential corporate investors in Nordic and Baltic countries to secure new foreign direct investment for Australia. This will involve the proactive identification of potential investors based on Australian opportunities, company and market analyses, presentation of tailored information on industry capability and articulating the commercial benefits of investing in Australia.
. Develop, maintain and support extensive senior level industry networks and stakeholders in Nordics, Baltics and Australia. This will include other Australian government agencies and State government offices, as well as in-market key government agencies, regulatory bodies, industry associations, regional development groups and professional service providers.
. The role also can also involve assisting Australian companies seeking to do business with and/or establish operations in the Nordic and Baltic region.

Role requirements:

1. Minimum Bachelor Level relevant tertiary qualification (for example, but not limited to, International Business/Economics/Marketing or Industry-related disciplines).
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in investment attraction, international business development or a similar role.
3. Industry knowledge in one or more of Austrade's priority sectors: Advanced Manufacturing and Space, Agri-food, Circular Economy, Digital Technologies, Energy, Health Industries, Mining & Resources.

Eligibility

To be eligible for consideration and appointment you must have:

. Work Authorisation - to be eligible for employment with Austrade in Stockholm, candidates must be legally authorised to live and work in Sweden at the time of appointment.
. Language - the successful candidate must be fluent in written and spoken English and Swedish.

About the position

This position is a mixed duties position, that provides administrative support and undertakes driving duties. The position reports to the Office Manager and works closely with the Ambassador and other staff within the Embassy.



Key responsibilities include:

As Receptionist, manage and direct incoming to telephone calls and e-mail enquiries and control public access to the Embassy.
Provide day to day administrative support to the Embassy, including on property, mailroom and office supply tasks.
Drive the Ambassador, undertake some other Embassy driving tasks, and maintain the Embassy's official vehicles and arrange regular services.
Support the Office Manager in managing the Embassy's ICT network, accounts, hardware and software.
Provide back-up support for other team members as required, including the Ambassador's Executive Assistant.

About the position
The Driver and Administrative Assistant provides safe, secure and reliable transport for the Ambassador (Head of Mission, HOM), and for other members of staff and official visitors as required, and has primary responsibility for maintaining the Embassy's official vehicles in clean and sound condition. In addition, a mixed duties position, which provides general administrative support. The position employment type will be a fixed term contract for six months, starting in October 2019.


The key responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Driver
- Driving the official vehicles as directed.
- Assisting dignitaries and others as directed with airport formalities.
- Assisting Embassy staff in support of official functions.
- Maintaining all official vehicles in a good running order, performing minor repairs where required.
