As technical communicator you maintain and update product documentation for PureBallast. Product Specialist – Engineering Support

About the job

As a Product Specialist, within Engineering support, you are part of the 1st line support towards the sales organisation and customers regarding installation queries and issues for retrofit projects as well as newbuild projects.

Key tasks:
* Review and feedback on engineering files and installation related documentation.
* Support customers and sales companies with issues regarding engineering and installation onboard ships - newbuilt and retrofit.
* Train and educate internal and external parties of the PureBallast system.
* Provide technical information to sales companies and customers.
* Continuously improve and streamline our processes and services.

What you know

You hold an Engineer degree and have at least 2 years’ experience from technical job You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and a good communicator with great culture awareness.

Experience from technical and/or installation of ballast systems is an advantage.

You know what is expected, organise, and structure your work efficiently and take responsibility for defined tasks. Du kommer att ingå i ett serviceinriktat team som hanterar allt från bokning till fakturering av reservdelsorder där vårt mål är att leverera rätt produkt med rätt kvalitet i rätt tid till rätt kostnad.

Du kommer arbeta med ett stort kontaktnät både internt och externt, bl.a. leverantörer, warehouse, speditörer, Logistic control tower (skeppning och dokumentation). Du är i daglig kontakt med våra kunder/säljbolag via mail, telefon och Skype.

Förbättringsarbete är något som vi dagligen arbetar med då vi hela tiden strävar efter att bli bättre!

About the job

You will belong to the Marketing & Portfolio Management team and have the responsibility to ensure that we run our business built on facts. You create a clear business development strategy based on understanding of our markets, customers and competitors and operate right between Business Development and Marketing.

The Business Developer is responsible for our market and business intelligence by systematically providing market and customer insights and implementation of findings into actionable business plans.

What you know

Engineering & Supply (E&S) at Business Unit High Speed separators integrate the key component, disc stack Separator, into a complete solution including piping, process components and controls that fits into the customer process. Our deliveries are both engineered to order and configured to order (pre-designed)

We are responsible for executing customer projects for food and life science applications and to maintain and develop our configured range of separator systems.

We serve such industries as Brewery, Beverage, Edible Oil, Biopharma & Industrial Fermentation and Ethanol, Starch & Sugar and many more.

About the job

As Engineering manager, customer projects, you will be responsible for a team of 15-20 engineers dedicated to deliver on our customer commitments. The team consists of mechanical, electrical and automation engineers. In addition, there is a technical documentation team. The direct reporting organization consists of a mix of direct reports, team leader and manager for sub organization.

Your main tasks:

Lead a team of dedicated professionals with the common vision to satisfy our customers. You will be interacting with the full E&S and Alfa Laval organization. You need to secure that we have a competent, well sized and agile engineering team.

What you know
* You hold a degree in Engineering at university level.
* You have a technical background and experience from working with customer projects.
* You are motivated by leading and developing people
* You have proven leadership experience.
* Experience from engineering and/or manufacturing of products and systems to the biopharma and food industry is meritorious.
* Potentially experience from consultancy management positions.
* Excellent communication skills and a team focused mindset.
* You are fluent in English.
