Quality Engineer


As a Quality Lead you will be defining, implementing, and improving the quality processes and activities in all phases and areas of the Boden project.


You as a Quality Lead will be performing meetings, workshops, audits, reviews and inspections at site and across the supply chain of the project as required. In addition, you will be involved with the development and improvement of all company processes.


You will collaborate with various departments such as procurement, engineering, construction and commissioning to define, implement and improve the quality processes.


The role is based in Boden, Sweden with trips to various project contractor and fabrication sites as required.


1. Responsibilities:

Safety & Compliance:
· Always adhere to and promote the safety policies of the project.
· Ensure that all works are executed in accordance with the applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
· Lead the Quality team within project area.
· Facilitate and Monitor the implementation of the contractors Quality processes.
· Perform Quality related meetings, workshops, audits, root cause analysis, reviews and inspections at site and across the supply chain as required
· Lead Quality activities by collecting and analysing data.
· Work closely with construction team, contractors, engineers, planners and other departments to ensure the development, implementation and improvement of the Quality System.
· Liaise with the contractor's representatives for quality activities coordination and planning.
· Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies, if required.
· Participate in reviews and site visits.



2. Qualifications:

a. Educational & Professional:
· Formal education in Engineering or related field.
· 10 years experience in quality in Large Projects.
· 5 years experience in project quality within an EPCM, main contractor or owners’ team..
· Deep understanding of the construction process for all disciplines (Civil, structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentations) etc.
· Able to follow and participate technical discussion on a first principles basis.

Construction Manager
A large steel project in Boden is broken down into 4 areas: Hydrogen manufacturing, Iron making (DRI), Steel making, as well as Site Infrastructure and utilities.
Your main responsibility is to oversee the successful completion of all construction management activities and deliverables within the approved safety, schedule, cost & quality criteria for one of the 4 main areas of this project. This includes responsibility for detailed daily/ weekly construction work planning and execution of activities necessary to successfully construct the project's scope of facilities according to approved success metrics and best practice construction project management principles.

In addition to managing the construction for one of the 4 main areas of Boden project, you will also contribute to the development of our ability to construct projects in a way that competes on a global scale. You will be seen as an expert in project construction management within your area and will develop your cross-functional team accordingly. To optimize the site construction effort, you will work in a matrix structure in close cooperation with the rest of our Site Execution, Project Management, Project Controls, and Engineering functions.

The role is site-based and full-time in Boden, Sweden.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure construction teams and contractors perform exceptionally in the context of EHS.
• Ensure EHS policies and procedures are adhered to within your construction area.
• Ensure all personnel and contractors are adequately inducted in their construction work areas.
• Ensure all construction personnel and contractors are aware of workplace rules and procedures.
• Ensure EHS interfaces (e.g., simultaneous operations or SIMOPS) between different construction areas, contractors and trades are identified, coordinated and managed appropriately.
• Monitor & control approved construction scope and deliverables within your area (incl. MoC).
• Monitor & control the construction schedule, and direct & indirect construction field costs according to the approved baselines for your area.
• Ensure sufficient & available work fronts for the works to proceed according to schedule.
• Ensure contractors' installation work packages (IWPs) are constraint-free.

• Monitor & control the implementation of construction risk capturing, treatment plan definition, and updates to the construction risk register.
• Compile daily/ weekly/ monthly construction performance analyses and progress reports.
• Ensure all construction progress tracking & information tools are used, maintained and updated.
• Manage the timely & appropriate generation and distribution of construction execution information to the Site Execution Management Team.

By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. The facility will impact, and shape, the surroundings as well as the perception of Boden, with the aim that it will be seen as a symbol for the much-needed green transition of heavy industry.

Process Engineer - Hot Mill
As a Process Engineer, you will belong to the corporate Technical team which supports the company’s different projects and installations in all phases of their lives; from feasibility, through design and engineering, to project execution and operations, maintenance and asset management. The Technology team is responsible for process technology to make sure processes will work, being cost efficient and sustainable.
Currently, the team is fully focused on driving and supporting the progress of the Boden project. We are in an exciting phase of the project, going from basic to detailed engineering. You will have an important role in contributing to the design, development, and implementation of the hot mill processes, as well as collaborating with various teams to ensure the functionality, reliability, and sustainability of these processes.
Long-term, the role will be based in Boden, Sweden.

Responsibilities
· Conduct reviews, verifications and provide technical support of equipment suppliers’ engineering solutions (focusing on safety, process, installation and product), making sure we keep high design standards.
· Leading and/or participating in work groups for cross-functional design challenges.
· Provide expert advice for construction and site support activities as necessary for equipment installation, (site acceptance) testing and commissioning.
· Design and implement maintenance strategies for installations.
· Leading and/or participating in improvement projects on installations after commissioning.

Qualifications
· Engineering Degree (min BEng/BSc) in a relevant discipline, ideally in Metallurgy/Process Engineering.

· 7+ years of general process engineer experience or 5+ years of steel plant specific engineering experience.

Role purpose

We are seeking an Architect with a minimum of 7 years of experience to take full ownership of the architectural scope for a cutting-edge industrial steel mill project. This role requires strong leadership in managing complex industrial architectural requirements and ensuring compliance with Swedish regulations and global standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Architectural Ownership
Act as the owner of the architectural concept and design guidelines, covering both exterior and interior design guidelines developed by our Architectural partners.
Develop, update, and maintain the Architectural Mill Standard (internal standard) to ensure consistency and quality.

Design Development
Support EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management) teams and consultants in developing internal layouts for buildings and Site Master Plans.
