Lab Technician at SKF RecondOil - Östersund
Oil is the world’s most important raw material. It is used as a lubricant in virtually all industrial processes. Oil is also a source of ongoing pollution and climate change. There are many reasons why this valuable resource needs to be better used - in a circular way. RecondOil, acquired by the SKF Group in 2019, is a clean tech company founded almost ten years ago to create a sustainable use of oil. Combining advanced separation technologies (chemical and mechanical) from different fields, to create a technology platform (DST) that allows a lubricating oil to be cleaned down to nano-sized particles and regenerated with the additives still intact. The oil can be used again and again, creating a truly circular economy – cutting carbon footprint, creating new business models, and having a positive impact on the environment.
We are now looking to enhance our team at our laboratory in Östersund. This role plays an important part in the establishment of ISO-certified procedures in our lab handling of customer oils in the most efficient way, and in contributing to our business R&D.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and carry out laboratory tests on industrial oils
Routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
Analyzing and examining test results and writing reports
Setting up processes for ISO 9001 certification and aligning our documentation accordingly
Participation in writing technical documents
Communication with laboratory suppliers as required
Other tasks may be included with time, relating to supporting external laboratories performing our methods, and R&D projects


Requirements
University degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Laboratory Sciences or equivalent academic competence
Experience in conducting and evaluating tests, results, and data carried out in the laboratory
Knowledge in writing technical documents
Good communication skills, and fluent in Swedish and English


Several years of professional experience in a laboratory environment, and handling industrial oil samples is a merit
Experience working with quality in an ISO-certified organization (such as ISO 9001, ISO 17025) is a merit

Competence Center Manager
SKF RecondOil

To maximize business development potential, and ensure our customers enjoy the full benefit of RecondOil products and service, competence transfer is critical. As Competence Center Manager you will be responsible for designing and developing a complete knowledge management strategy for the SKF Sales and Delivery organizations, as well as our strategic partners and SKF customers. Capturing, consolidating, managing and sharing application insights, knowledge and information are all within scope of the role.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to
• Identifying and maintaining competence development needs for key target groups (such as sales, application engineering, etc.)
• Defining a strategy and plan of actions to resolve competence gaps, transfer knowledge and lift overall competence levels
• Create and coordinate teams of in-house subject matter experts for collecting and gathering application insights
• Pinpointing external research needs and identifying relevant sources of information.
• Structuring knowledge and information by setting a knowledge platform for gathering, storing and sharing information as well as building key knowledge packages for the target audience(s).
• Transferring knowledge to target groups by developing and maintaining the SKF RecondOil Academy: e-learnings, webinars, effective communication tools and easy access to knowledge platform.
• Managing a training concept including its design, development, delivery and promotion
• Working closely together with key stakeholders and focal points at SKF RecondOil, and within SKF Group

We expect you to have/be…
• A university degree in either a technical field or business management, or equivalent, with a good technical understanding/acumen.
• Working knowledge of Oil lubricants and Fluid systems is advantageous
• Solid experience in analyzing technical data, information, and documentation, and in to reviewing and aligning information/data from various sources.
• Strong ability to understand gaps in technical documentation and understand need in translating into competence needs.
• Strong ability to structure information, prioritize and “make it happen”.
• Solid communication, presentation, and training skills. Adaptable persona in communicating with different types of personalities and focal points.
• Socially competent with a high level of positive energy, with a can-do mindset and capacity in seeing solutions.

Processingenjör, SKF RecondOil


Som Processingenjör kommer du att få arbeta med innovativ och nyskapande teknologi på ett globalt plan. Du kommer att bli en del av vårt växande clean-tech bolag som innebär fantastiska möjligheter till att faktiskt göra skillnad. Som Processingenjör, kommer du att konstruera och utveckla våra arbetskoncept tillsammans med specialister inom RecondOil och SKF. Därtill får du vara en del av ett processutvecklings-team, med expertkunskap inom processteknik, mekanisk design, kemiteknik, samt automatisering.


Ditt dagliga arbete
Som Processingenjör bidrar du till utveckling och implementering av helautomatiska processlösningar, vilket möjliggör en hållbar användning av olja. Ditt arbete kommer inkludera utveckling av processteknologi, optimering och designutveckling, processäkerhet, riskanalyser och riskbedömningar inom processarbetet, samt processkontroll och energioptimering. Därtill, kommer ditt arbete även inkludera:


• Att bedöma, skapa förståelse för, och tolkning av krav och specifikationer, rör- och instrumentdiagram (P&IDs;), samt av elektriska system och kabeldragningar för tillförlitlig integration i utrustningsdesign
• Problemlösning och praktisk förmåga inom det mekaniska och elektriska fältet
• Att ta ansvar för inkörning av-, samt övervakning av uppstart och drift av RecondOils system utifrån kundsidan
• Att säkerställa att leverantörer följer ovanstående nämna processbitar
• Att testa nya arbetskoncept och prototyper
• Bidragande till den tekniska utvecklingen samt till projektledningen i nära samarbete med partners, konsulter och leverantörer
• Felsökning via PLC-system, samt för justering och förbättringar i systemet
• Att kunna ge avancerad kundsupport och service på plats, vilket inkluderar utbildning av operatörer
• Att ta en aktiv roll inom innovation och kreativitet i linje med den övergripande strategin, samt att hålla sig uppdaterad om tekniska trender inom för tjänsten relevanta områden
• Dokumentation, rapportering av, samt utveckling av utbildningsmaterial


Vi söker efter dig som har
• Universitets- eller högskoleutbildning inom kemiteknik, processteknik, alternativt inom motsvarande utbildningsområde
• Arbetslivserfarenhet från olje- och gas-, petrokemisk-, läkemedels- och/eller livsmedelsförädlingsindustri med förståelse för kemiska processer
• Erfarenhet av tolkning av tekniska ritningar, ritningar och rör- och instrumentdiagram (P & ID)
• Kunskaper från att genomföra experiment, observera och utveckla en tydlig förståelse för processen kring automatisering och relaterad teknik
• God kommunikationsförmåga där du har flytande språkkunskaper i engelska, såväl muntligt som i skrift
• Giltigt B-körkort
• En öppenhet och vilja att resa internationellt

Overall job description
As Automation Engineer, you will work with innovative and high-quality technology with global reach. You will join a fast-growing cleantech company and will have significant opportunities to make a difference. You will develop and engineer our Automation platform in collaboration with different SKF and RecondOil Specialists. You will be part of the projects through all their phases - pre-study and design to commissioning, support and documentation. Furthermore, you will be participating in deliveries and support in different sites globally.

You will
• Provide Automation Engineering services, PLC/HMI programming, electrical design, function descriptions and delivery of documentation
• Be involved in forming the way we design and implement our systems, both through support and direct involvement in design decisions
• Be involved in various R&D projects.
• Interface with Project Managers, Process, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers/designers, construction supervisors, and vendors
• Support, commission, and start-up machines at customer site as well as provide support to other colleagues and customers from the office

You have
• A degree in automation/mechatronics engineering or equivalent
• Good knowledge in PLC and HMI systems (preferably Siemens)
• Experience in industrial or process automation systems
• Experience from working with commissioning, start-up, and support
• In depth understanding of the general demands for industrial production
• Good understanding of process diagrams (P&ID;) and their functionality within a project
• Great communication skills. Fluency in English, both verbal and written
• Driving license B
• Ability to travel worldwide for shorter or longer periods of time depending on the nature of the projects

Meritorious
• Experience from working with commissioning, start-up, and support in an international setting
• Knowledge in Electrical design (Eplan)
• Extensive knowledge of Siemens TIA platform and associated hardware
