WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will be responsible for ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality across all platforms. You will design test procedures as well as author test plans and test cases to test Web application developed with angular, PHP and integrated with Rest API's and client server application built with C#, node.js and WebRTC communication protocols. This role requires someone who enjoys manual testing, has some hands-on testing experience, and can deliver quality results. This is a fast-paced environment that seeks creative perfectionists with a passion for quality work.


RESPONSIBILITIES
•Gather requirements, build detailed test cases and test plan to support complete coverage.
•Draft quality assurance plans, policies, procedures and implement best quality standards/practice.
• Test Web application developed with angular, PHP & integrated with WebRTC based application.
•Test backend platform and API Rest calls using postman, javascript and UNIX command line.
•Document and update test cases in Zyphr and report bugs using Jira.
•Ability to use source control tools including svn, git and bit bucket.
•Ability to identify the bug details using third party tools including developer debug tools.
•Complete hands-on testing for functional, integration, regression, acceptance, and usability testing.
•Understanding of testing environments and software development life cycle
•Responsible to maintain and upgrade test cases as new features are built.
•Work in an agile environment, delivering quality products every sprint.
•Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
•Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
• Support post production release checks and ensure final product quality.

About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to join Symphony Stockholm to help build and craft the next generation of real-time communication experiences in the cloud.
The successful candidate will lead and develop a team of highly skilled and hardworking backend developers who architect, build, maintain and operate Symphony Meetings - a fully cloud-based platform for online meetings. In this role, you will lead and grow an amazing team and work with product delivery teams building high-performance, highly available and reliable products that support a 24/7 real-time secure communications cloud platform.

Symphony is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer, with specialist Java and/or C++ knowledge, who has experience developing scalable, multi-tenant, high-performance applications.


Responsibilities:
Many of the teams in the Symphony Stockholm office work on Symphony Meetings (real-time voice, video and screen sharing communications). You will take on a leading role in the development of our next generation multi-tenant Meetings back-end.
Active participation in multi-functional teams, developing new Meeting features end-to-end
Maintain and improve existing code bases
Participate in design and code reviews
Build efficient and reusable abstractions and systems
Identify and address performance bottlenecks
Identify, establish and communicate standard methodologies for back-end engineering

Required Qualifications:
Ability to write high-performance, reusable code
Experienced in Object Oriented design
Expert C++ or Java skills
Experienced and comfortable working in a CI/CD environment
Experience from developing real-time communication applications would be a huge plus
Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking
Cloud experience. Familiar with AWS, GCloud or Azure
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field desirable

About the position
As a SRE you will work with Agile engineering teams to provide production insight into running and operating software at-scale in a globally distributed highly available cloud based system. Some of your responsibilities will include building and supporting a container based platform architecture that can ensure that micro service teams can own their code all the way into production. You will also build and support tooling and automated infrastructure necessary to deliver metrics from production environments and manage multiple versions of multiple micro services operating in tandem to produce a fully functional system. You will work together with the backend and application team to make sure that the team own their codes and offer them suggestions on how to effectively use them in the development sprint work. In other words you will play a hands-on role helping the team meet ambitious technical and operational schedule as well as business requirements. There are 26 Site Reliability Engineers spread around the globe but you will be the first one in the Stockholm Office and therefor along with the team set up the infrastructure that will shape the whole DevOps process.
About you
In order to thrive in this role we believe you are a self-going SRE engineer and that you share our notion of the importance of automating your way out of repetitive operational work. We see that you have experience automating in Python, Ruby or similar rapid-development language as well as experience with networking protocols such as IP routing issues, TLS or high level network transactional issues through logs and metrics. For us you would be the ideal candidate if you are a systems thinker with a passion for creating products that deliver incredible customer experiences and have experience with operational automation, data driven metrics collection with a desire to automate it rather then repeating it.
