The role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Thematic Advisor to guide the expansion of our energy transition initiatives in current and future investments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in next-generation energy systems — including renewables, energy storage, smart grids, clean fuels, and energy efficiency — and a strong track record in strategic business development and leadership.
The role is based in Stockholm, Sweden.
Areas of responsibilities include:
· Advise on strategic direction of investments in energy transition, clean fuels, and climate-resilient infrastructure.
· Offer thought leadership on trends in regulatory, market, and technical developments.
· Guide portfolio development across renewables, transmission & distribution, hydrogen, and decarbonization pathways.
· Collaborate with the investment and operational teams to identify and assess investment opportunities.
· Identify new market opportunities and partnerships to expand Summa’s scope and portfolio.
· Represent Summa in industry forums.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a candidate that has:
· 15+ years of experience in the energy sector with progressive leadership responsibilities.
· Strong background in commercial strategy, business development, and management.
· Technical understanding of energy systems including renewables, storage, smart energy, and clean fuels.
· Professional experience in private equity, consultancy and engineering environments is preferred.
· Fluency in English is required.
· International experience and familiarity with the Nordic energy markets.
· Engineering degree (BSc and MSc); additional business education is a bonus.
