Responsibilities
Keysight's Global Services Organisation (KGSO) is seeking to hire a talented and ambitious Resident Professional Technical Support Engineer (RPE) to join its team, with responsibility for delivering on-site support services to Keysight's Power Portfolio Solutions customers across the Automotive Electromobility Sector, with a focus on support services for battery cell, module, pack and EVSE testing equipment.
The successful candidate will join a rapidly growing industry sector and have the responsibility of delivering on-site support services to a key Keysight Battery Test Solution customer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Please note that this position is based 100% at the customer site, and not at a Keysight location. Support services are defined as installation, decommissioning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, calibration, repair, training, and parts & escalation management relating to solution hardware and software.
The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manage and deliver preventative maintenance (PM) and calibration schedules (on-site or return to Keysight) in cooperation with the customer's calibration and maintenance team and testing schedules.
Coordination of third-party service providers.
Installation of hardware and software/firmware upgrades and service notes.
Perform on-site troubleshooting and repair of customer equipment in a timely, thorough, and professional manner.
Work with cross-functional teams to address difficult repair situations and escalations.
Deliver customer training.
Determine and develop approaches to the varied assignments associated with this position.
Lead field service and support projects requiring coordination with other functions, customers and suppliers.
Solve a broad range of system problems of varying scope and complexity, involving hardware, software, networking, application and facilities.
Assist the Sales teams as needed; proactively look for growth opportunities to drive annual recurring revenue.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent.
Fluency in Swedish and English language is mandatory.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to travel via car and air if required.



Desired
Working knowledge of battery test technologies and EVSE solutions would be advantageous.
Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical troubleshooting techniques and skills knowledge, with a focus on power electronics, high voltage/current systems and safety.
Previous on-site commissioning and/or service delivery experience desirable.
Good working knowledge of MS Windows OS, Linux and networking.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a logical manner.
Be self-motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to make decisions that favourably effect customer uptime.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in high-stress, mission-critical situations.
Flexible working hours per customer commitments.
Requires general proficiency with tools, systems and procedures to accomplish job.

As a Solution Engineer you will:
· Work very close together with our Sales Engineers and play an important role anticipating customer test challenges and finding the best solution for their measurement applications to guarantee customer success - the heart of our Keysight Leadership Model (KLM)
· Typical customer requirements are solutions for a wide range of signal analysis and electronic component test applications always in front of future state of the art technologies in different market segments like Wireless and Communication Industry as well as Universities and Geographic mid-size and start-up companies
· Cooperate and coordinate with colleagues world-wide and our with factories
· Be the technical interface between the customers and the Keysight product development teams
· The responsibility includes technical pre-and post-sales support, sales presentations on marketing events and delivery of customer training
· Visit customer sites locally and globally - requiring frequent travel (> 50% of work time)

Job Qualifications:
The position requires a University Degree in electrical /communications engineering, physics or equivalent course of study and minimum 3 years’ professional experience in RF & Microwave test applications.

· The following job-related skills are required:
· Comprehensive knowledge of RF&MW; test fundamentals in theory and practical measurement applications
· Practical experience using Signal Analyzers, Signal Generators, Vector Signal Analyzers, high end Oscilloscopes, Arbitrary Waveform generators, Network analyzers, Power Meters and other state-of-the art measurement instrumentation
· Understanding the fundamentals of generation, demodulation and analysis of digital communication signals
· Basic Knowledge of wireless PHY standards like 5G, LTE, WLAN,
· Practical experience in the development and setup of test systems
· Programming skills applied in a T&M environment using programming languages such as LabVIEW, Matlab, Visual Basic or C/C++/C#
· Understanding of I/O connectivity and instrument drivers
