We are seeking a talented Analytics Engineer to join our team in Stockholm and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our podcast subscription business and beyond. You will derive actionable insights from raw data by leveraging your expertise in data analysis, modeling, and transformation, ensuring clean and reliable datasets and reports to support decision-making.

As an Analytics Engineer at Podme, you will collaborate closely with Data Engineers and cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Product, to deepen our understanding of the business, enhance our products, and better serve our users. Your contributions will drive strategic decisions and fuel our growth, positioning Podme at the forefront of innovation in the podcast space.
Key Responsibilities

- Transform and model data to ensure clean, accurate, and reliable reporting datasets.
- Create and maintain automated dashboards and reports to monitor key metrics related to subscription, marketing, and product performance.
- Support the marketing team by analyzing customer lifecycle data to identify growth opportunities and inform the planning and prioritization of new initiatives.
- Conduct ongoing reporting and analysis of customer journeys to provide actionable insights for continuous optimization.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and developers to implement our event tracking strategy, ensuring accurate tracking of user interactions.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and deep dives into various focus areas to uncover insights and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications

- Experience in an analytics engineering or data analytics role with a focus on data manipulation, transformation, and analytics.
- Proficiency in and experience with cloud data warehouses like BigQuery.
- Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation, Airflow for workflow orchestration and automation, and Git for version control.
- Solid understanding of data modeling best practices and data validation, with the ability to independently address data discrepancies.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining dashboards with Looker Studio or similar BI tools.
- Skilled in collaborating with data engineers to address data quality issues through the development of data validation checks.
- Strong communicator capable of translating complex data insights into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaboration on data-driven initiatives.
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, such as Braze, and web analytics tools, like GA4.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in the podcast, media, or subscription-based business model, with a strong understanding of industry-specific analytics.
- Familiarity with Python for data manipulation, automation, and custom ETL development.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations and their implications for data collection, storage, and analytics strategies.

About this position
As a UX designer and lead at Podme you’ll work holistically with the entire product and services, from understanding user needs, doing research, creating concepts, crafting design, carrying out user tests and optimising the user experience.
