What You Will Do
In line with Essity’s mission, values, and goals, continue to develop and execute a vision and strategy for DE&I globally, and ensure it’s creating value from a workplace- and marketplace perspective.
Define and execute global initiatives related to DE&I in full alignment with the DE&I strategy.
Drive the DE&I agenda and priorities, partnering across the organization; engaging HR and the Business in building and sustaining a culture of inclusion, to ensure that DEI is integrated into all people processes as well as every part of the business.
Drive the DE&I internal networks and develop and implement the DE&I way of working.
Continuously update, activate and own the global DE&I policy, programs and initiatives that promote DE&I.
Establish and follow-up on metrics and KPIs to evaluate the impact of DE&I efforts globally.
Responsible for annual DE&I reporting (includes Sustainability reporting, D&I report, etc.).
Partner with Communications to communicate internal and external DE&I initiatives, events and progress.
Program lead of the Group Engagement Survey and monitor progress.
Manage broader aspects of inclusion (eg. Well-being TBC).
Act as the Essity DE&I ambassador externally and internally and lead the DE&I Council on behalf of our CEO.

Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and significant senior role experience leading DE&I work within a global matrix organization.
Proven experience in designing, managing, and implementing Global DEI programs, tracking DE&I data and analytics.
Deep understanding of DE&I concepts, theories, frameworks, best practices, and the legal and ethical implications of DE&I policies and programs.
Possess expertise in change management, capable of inspiring and leading through our Belief’s & Behaviors, bringing your authentic self to each conversation.
Develop proactively and pragmatically business objectives by setting a compelling picture of the vision of bringing in inclusivity and belongingness in Essity.
Build a strategy that motivates others to action and create a climate where people are motivated to do their best.
Ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with people at all levels and across different functions and backgrounds, internally and externally.
High emotional intelligence, cultural competence, and interpersonal skills that demonstrates the courage to take smart risks that improve business performance.
A passion for DE&I and willingness to learn and grow are essential qualities for success.
You are an excellent written and verbal communicator and facilitator, able to adjust your communication according to the stakeholders.
English is mandatory, additional languages are an advantage.

As the CSRD Compliance Manager, you will be a key member of our Corporate Sustainability team and Group Control within Group Finance. You will support senior management, the Sustainability Reporting team as well as other functions contributing to Essity’s sustainability statements in driving compliance and optimizing preparatory processes and ways of working.

What You Will Do
Own and document Essity’s value chain analysis and double materiality assessment.
Ensure Essity's sustainability statements meet all legal requirements.
Align Essity’s sustainability policies and procedures with best practices in reporting.
Engage in and contribute to sustainability-related projects.
Liaise between Group functions and functions delivering sustainability reporting.
Collaborate on completing sustainability questionnaires.

Who You Are
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Legal, or related field
At least five years of experience in sustainability reporting, consulting, assurance, or similar
Experience in an international environment is a plus
Familiarity with regulations; experience with ESRS is a plus
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken Swedish and English
Process-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and technologies
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Ability to collaborate and communicate with senior stakeholders with inclusivity, respect, and integrity

Business Controller Group

Produce insightful financial analysis that in an effective and efficient manner explains business performance.

As a Financial Controller at Essity, you will be working with consolidation and controlling of financial reporting from Essity’s Group companies. You will work closely with our colleagues around the world in subsidiaries, our global shared service organization, and other departments within Group Finance. You will be a part of develop the Essity Finance manual, providing technical expertise and advice on complex accounting and serve as point of contact for users regarding reporting and Group consolidation system queries. The position will report to the Financial Control Director and the position is located at the Essity head office in the Waterfront Building, just a couple of minutes from the Stockholm Central Station. What does Consolidation team do
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual accounts within given time frames.
More concrete, this means, among other things;
- Closing adjustments and other consolidation tasks such as reconciliation and analyzes of the reporting from the subsidiaries in Essity's consolidation system Aaro
- Internal matching and elimination of all internal transactions
- Reconciliation of Group’s equity
- Cash flow reporting
- IAS 19 Pension reporting
- Follow-up of restructuring projects
- Preparation of financial statements and notes in the interim/year-end/annual reports
Support with integration of acquired entities for financial reporting in Aaro according to Essity accounting principles
Dispatch of instructions
Contribute to further development and improvements of our accounting guidelines, routines, and processes
Work towards creative and technological solutions to better manage and automatize workflows together with controls and drive efficiency, end-to-end
Educate and proactively support business units and our global shared service organization in matters of accounting and reporting
Participate in implementation of new IFRS standards
Drive and be involved in projects and add-hoc tasks within the Consolidation team and the Finance organization
