What you'll do?
You will take a key role in our work on ISP architecture and development and coordinate work with internal and external stakeholder. You will cooperate with experts within your team in the Perception Core organization, but also with the Pre Development organization as well as with any other relevant parts of the Qualcomm organization.
You will be working together with specialists in variety of technical domains to deliver the next generation ADAS/AD systems and enable suppliers and customers to develop camera systems to support our software and hardware reference designs.
What we do in our team:
Imager sensor control and performance evaluations, qualification and definition
Optimize the optical system to enable world class computer vision functions including definition, evaluations, qualification
Camera module requirement definition and evaluation
Camera calibration concepts
Algorithm development within the area of image processing
Software development for target HW in C/C++ and for development tools in mainly Python, Matlab and C #

You will lead your own and the teams work forward, by exploring new ideas and experiment for the benefit of the product, the team and yourself.
Influencing the product and your work by giving input to the product backlog and your team’s tasks
Develop your and the organization’s expertise within a certain technical domain via Communities of Practice
As a camera sensor expert in this team, we think you bring / have expert level knowledge in:
A Ph.D. or M.Sc. in physics, electrical engineering, or equivalent background.
Expert level in camera and ISP pipeline design, architecture and development
Extensive experience working with image sensors for camera systems and how they affect image quality
Software development skills and great interest in programming, preferably in C/C++, Python and Matlab.
Identify root-cause and develop solutions to image quality issues found at component-level and on camera module-level
Design test protocols and processes to evaluate sensor and camera modules in both lab and real-world environments
Expert level in image quality objective and subjective metrics as well as evaluation methodology
General competence in optics
Experience and interest in being part of some practical lab measurements is also valuable.

We are looking for an Engineer with a PhD or Master of Science in image- or signal processing or equivalent area.
We work in cross functional agile teams consisting of 5-8 members developing functions into our Perception Products. While each team member contributes with their own skills and experience, the team cooperates to perform the different steps in development. The teams are responsible for all steps in development, including system design, defining requirements, implementation, and verification.
Our teams innovate at the frontiers of engineering in camera calibration using technologies such as machine learning, tracking and 3D reconstruction.


What you'll do?
We are looking for you who have a great interest in Computer Vision & Software Development. We work mainly in C, C++ and Python.
In your daily work you will be involved in several of the following tasks:

What you'll do?
Our current Group Manager will move to another role in the company so now we are looking for a new Group Manager for our Vision development at our Stockholm office. The role is within Traffic Solutions, where we are responsible for the functions - unclassified moving objects and freespace. In this position you will recruit and build upon existing teams of highly competent developers. As a Group Manager you also have an operative role as Supporting Line Manager in the RA, including leadership of external teams and delivery responsibility.

The Perception Pre-Development department has focus on concept development including prototyping and demonstrators, technology roadmap for next generation products, technology scouting, and other important topics defining the future of ADAS/AD.
In Pre-Development we work in cross-functional constellations with experts from different areas and disciplines to combine very skilled individuals into strong teams. Constellations are dynamic and changes with the different concepts under development. Timelines are often short due to tough competition in the automotive space, but we love to compete and we love to win.

What you'll do?
You will be working in the Perception Pre-Development department together with specialists in a variety of technical domains in order to help deliver next generation perception software stacks and perception systems.
Our software stacks are central in the ADAS/AD system in the vehicle, delivering perception functions like Vehicle, Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Lane and Road Boundary Detection, Freespace and Hazard detection, Traffic Sign and Traffic Light Detection, and lots more. On top of this, new concepts are continuously being developed and demonstrated to ensure we are market leaders in the field to attract new and incumbent customers.
We work in sprints during which you could work in the following areas:
• Explore latest machine learning research trends and evaluate methods for our products
• Identify new ways to extract relevant data from our large database
• Evolve our methods and tool chains for machine learning
• Evaluate architectural/algorithmic solutions, when to use machine learning vs classic computer vision
• Develop new computer vision features
• Deploy new concepts on target for in-vehicle demo and evaluation purposes
• Participate in the development of fusion algorithms on different levels
• Develop product requirements for the next generation perception system
• Understand capabilities of different SoC accelerators to select the best system approach
The Perception Pre-Development department has both short and long term scope to address challenges in ongoing product development and to explore solutions for the next generation perception stacks.

You will be working together with specialists in variety of technical domains in order to deliver next generation Vision Perception software stacks and enable suppliers and customers to develop camera systems to support our software.

Our software stacks are central in the ADAS/AD system in the vehicle, delivering functions like Vehicle, Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Lane and Road Boundary Detection, and Traffic Sign and Traffic Light Detection.

As an Optical Systems Engineer in this team, your tasks and responsibilities can include:

- Develop state-of-art test methods and test equipment to for camera systems and optical components in both an optics lab and in real-world environments
- Specify, build and assemble test systems (including fixtures, harnesses, climate chambers, optical targets and similar test setups)
- Develop and adapt communication and control HW/SW for camera systems in the measurement set-ups
- Program tests systems including analysis of data and implementing automation of tests
- Performing measurements on camera systems and related components
- Analyze data from tests and writing reports

What you'll do?

- Performing measurements on camera systems and related components
- Analyze data from tests and writing reports
- Develop state-of-art test methods and test equipment to for camera systems and optical components in an optics lab
- Specify, build and assemble test systems (including fixtures, harnesses, climate chambers, optical targets and similar test setups)
- Develop and adapt communication and control HW/SW for camera systems in the measurement set-ups
- Program tests systems including analysis of data and implementing automation of tests




What you'll bring:

- An M.Sc. in electrical engineering, physics or other relevant background

- Interest in developing measurement setups and control software

- Interest for image processing techniques for camera images

As an image sensor expert in this team, your tasks and responsibilities can include:

- Specification and analysis of image sensors for automotive applications
- Investigation of root-causes and development of solutions to image quality issues found related to image sensors
- Definition of image quality metrics as well as evaluation methodology
- Design test protocols and methods to evaluate image sensors in both lab and real-world environments
- Development of HDR functionality
- Camera and ISP pipeline design and camera capture modes
- Participation in technical meetings with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholder



What you'll bring:

We are Vision Perception

Our Perception Strategy is to develop new solutions for the next generation Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD) on a global market, and to be the leader in Perception and Drive Policy Software.

While each team member contributes with their own skills and experience, the team cooperates to perform the different steps in development. The teams are responsible for all steps in development, including system design, defining requirements, implementation, and verification.

Our teams innovate at the frontiers of engineering in camera calibration using technologies such as machine learning, tracking and 3D reconstruction.

What you'll do?

You will be part of our development of camera-based safety systems, accelerating the growth in Autonomous Driving.

We are looking for you who have a great interest in Machine learning, computer vision & Software Development. We work mainly in C, C++ and Python.

In your daily work you will be involved in several of the following tasks:

- Algorithm development within the area of signal and image processing

- Design, training, and evaluation of our deep neural networks

- Development of our deep learning framework in Python

- Software development for target HW in C & C++

- Development of system and SW tests

- Create requirements on system and component level

- Refine and scope work packages with your team and other teams


In each of our teams, we:

- Drive our own features, with refining and planning, often together with other teams

What you'll do?

You will be working in the Vision Perception organization in order to deliver next generation Vision Perception software stacks and enable suppliers and customers to develop camera systems to support our software. Your role is product owner who will work with all areas around the Optic system; sensors, lens, exposure control, calibration image preprocessing and camera specifications for suppliers.

You will also work with coordination of several external parties as component suppliers, camera suppliers and our main customer/OEM and of course Qualcomm who is our partner in this product.

Your daily work consist of:

- Ensure effective collaboration with partners, the optic system team and the rest of the Perception organization
- Define scope and overall prioritizations of work relating to the imaging pipeline from optics to camera output image
- Ensure operational coordination within the area, by:
- Proactive coordination of teams and effective collaboration with partners
- Manage goal conflicts and operational challenges. Be the escalation point for all such issues.
- Ensuring proper budget planning, follow-up and reporting
- Align and sync with product owners downstream the autonomous driving software stack


- Ensure good leadership practices and effective cooperation culture via guidelines provided by the company.


The optics team is a newly formed group at Arriver and hence you will be a major part both in forming the ways of working as well as forming the role itself.

What you'll do?
