As a Field Service Engineer for Agilent, you will work at a variety of labs, so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments, software and consumables is key. Your Role:
You will together with a small team of colleagues be responsible for supporting our customers with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of Pathology systems solutions. Our varied product lines include hardware, software and networking products as well as operating systems.
Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites.
Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.
Performs maintenance and repairs.
Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance.
Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business.
Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and applications software.
Deliver accurate and timely reporting of service jobs.

Qualifications


6 to 8 years’ experience as customer facing Field Service Engineer, preferably with experience on Medical Devices, Laboratory equipment or similar robotic/electromechanics and fluidics equipment.
Good experience with Computer/Software/Server connected and operated equipment.
You will need to be proactive and self-driven, as well as having curiosity and willingness to learn new products.
Verbal and written communication is clear, respectful and timely.
You enjoy travelling and visiting customers.
Proficient level of Swedish and English.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an expert Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our team. As a senior Ruby developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the iLab operations software SaaS product. As senior Ruby on Rails developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement features, perform extensive refactoring, and write automated tests.

For our site in Sundbyberg, Sweden, we are looking for a remote system engineer for our chromatography and/or spectroscopy portfolio.
In this role, you provide remote post-sales technology support and technical services to external customers and/or internal field personnel utilizing remote diagnostic capabilities. This includes reactive actions that result in a timely and cost effective problem resolution for customer and proactive preventive actions. Your qualifications
You have a Bachelors or Masters Degree or equivalent in the field of chemistry, instrumental analysis, geology, biology, food chemistry or a related field.
You have very good theoretical as well as practical knowledge in chromatography, mass spectrometry, or spectroscopy. Previous experience with chromatography data systems software is advantageous.
Practical experience in the laboratory and/or with Agilent equipment is advantageous.
Customer-oriented thinking/experience in dealing with customers.
You can analyze complex facts holistically and communicate them in a comprehensible manner.
You have an affinity for error analysis and advanced troubleshooting.
You have an affinity to computers and software.
You have a good teamworking mentality and enjoy working in an international environment.
Understanding of processes and the skill to follow them.

In this role:

Your Main responsibilities include:

Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the GC and GCMS technologies and applications, good understanding of the GC/GCMS business in the Nordic Countries and will have no problem articulating how to further strengthen Agilent's position in this competitive market.
- Being fluent in English while speaking other Nordic languages is a plus.
- Practical laboratory experience in GC and GCMS technologies is a must
- Experience of selling GC and GCMS Solutions into the main Life Sciences and Applied Markets will be an important plus.
Previous Experience and Background
- PhD, Master and/or University Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Natural Science or equivalent qualification. In-depth knowledge on gas chromatography (GC, main GC detectors, samplers) and mass spectrometry techniques (EI/CI, single quadrupole, triple quadrupole, TOF/QTOF etc) including sample preparation and a strong application background.
- Good knowledge of the Agilent SW platforms is a strong plus: Chemstation, OpenLab and especially Mass Hunter Quant/Qual with validation experience and notions of statistical analysis and Chemometrics
- Good understanding of the GC and MS technologies and application workflows and needs in target markets (e. g. Food Analysis/Safety, Environmental, Forensics - Toxicology, Metabolomics, Clinical, Pharma, Omics Science).
- 3+ years hands-on experience with GC and GCMS, preferably in a customer facing role or during University studies
