De SiC-ontwerp- en apparaatontwikkelingsgroep, gevestigd in Kista Science City in Stockholm, werkt aan nieuwe technologie en processen voor SiC-stroomapparaten. In onze eigen faciliteiten hebben we apparaatkarakteriserings- en testfaciliteiten en we zijn op zoek naar versterking van het team met een Characterization Engineer.


Als Characterization Engineer maak je deel uit van de testontwikkelingsstrategie, implementatie van de volledige testoplossing vanuit hardware- en softwareperspectief en verwerf en voer je statistische analyses van metingen uit. Daarnaast ben je eigenaar van de kalibratie en traceerbaarheid van de instrumenten.


Je maakt deel uit van het technologieontwikkelingsteam en werkt nauw samen met ontwerp-, evaluatie-, applicatie- en productingenieurs. Je ondersteunt productieteams bij activiteiten zoals opbrengstverbetering en testtijdverkorting. Ervaring of training in de fysica van halfgeleiderapparatuur is verdienstelijk en nuttig voor het begrijpen van de producten waarmee u gaat werken.


Als Characterization Engineer ga je:
Werken met testontwikkeling voor SiC-voedingsapparaten
Technische eisen voor onderzoek
Productkenmerken onderzoeken
Ontwikkelen van laboratoriumopstellingen voor elektrische tests
Ontwikkel testoplossingen voor productie in grote volumes op ATE.
Zorg voor stabiliteit van testprogramma's door middel van statistische analyse en optimalisatie.
Opbrengstoptimalisatie en testtijdverkorting.
Onderhouden en ontwikkelen van de op Python gebaseerde test- en analysescripts.
Genereer testschema's voor interfacehardware, waaronder loadboards en probekaarten.
Beheer de kalibratie van instrumentatie en onderhoud de laboratoriumdocumentatie.

Kwalificaties - Extern
Bachelor's degree of hoger in elektrische of elektronica vereist.
Relevante test engineering ervaring.
Ervaring met standaard testinstrumenten zoals DMM's, oscilloscopen, PSU's.
Ervaring met onzekerheidsberekeningen van testinstrumenten.
Ervaring of zelfs vaardigheid in objectgeoriënteerde programmeertechnieken
Python programmeren
Vermogen om zelfstandig en als onderdeel van een team te werken
Vloeiend in het Engels, zowel schriftelijk als mondeling
Kwaliteitsmentaliteit

Verdienstelijk:
Ervaring in Gage R&R en tools voor revisieafhandeling is verdienstelijk
Ervaring met het samenvatten en presenteren van resultaten en conclusies van uitgevoerde tests

Device scientist in simulation and characterization of silicon carbide (SiC) power MOSFETs
Do you have a strong interest in power semiconductor devices and want to join the silicon carbide revolution? Do you want to work in a globally operating SiC device development team in a large semiconductor company? If so, then you may be the device scientist we are looking for in our SiC development team located in Kista Science City, Stockholm.

Role and responsibilities:
· Device simulation and process simulation of SiC power devices for deriving new improved designs with reduced power losses as well as improved ruggedness and reliability.
· Electrical characterization of SiC devices on wafer level and for packaged devices.
· Analysis of device performance such as on-resistance, breakdown voltage, threshold voltage and ruggedness/reliability by measurements and simulations
· Planning of device development experiments with DOE splits in process steps and design including mask layout when needed
· Analysis of experiments with process and design splits, including electrical characterization, tests and reporting. Some of the characterization is hands on and some of the work is to manage and keep track of test results from other labs within the company.
· Updating and reporting progress in SiC development projects.

Successful candidates for this position will have several of the following:
· Master of Science or PhD in electrical engineering, engineering Physics or similar
· Hands-on experience with TCAD simulations of semiconductor devices
· Previous work in the semiconductor industry or in semiconductor device research
· Experience and skills in electrical characterization
· Very good skills in English, speaking and writing
· Good knowledge in semiconductor device physics and knowledge in process technology
· Team orientation with emphasis on communication and social skills
· Ability to work independently with sustained focus over time

onsemi is looking for a highly motivated engineer to work in the power electronic Modeling and Simulation Solutions (MSS) group. The candidate will be responsible for TCAD development and optimization of advanced power discrete semiconductor devices. Technologies supported include SiC MOSFETS, Trench MOSFETs, Trench IGBTs, and Si/SiC diodes. The candidate will closely interact with process development engineers, power system/circuit designers, applications engineers, and technical marketing. The MSS group is a worldwide team; thus the candidate will work with colleagues in the USA, Europe, China, and South Korea. onsemi is considered an industry leader in power electronic device modeling and simulation. Performance Objectives:
The Successful Candidate will:
Develop and calibrate TCAD models for power devices, including simulation strategies, meshing methods and device physics models
Incorporate TCAD device models in holistic simulations including mixed-mode as a part of a power circuit to evaluate the impact of the power device on the system efficiency.
Optimize system efficiency and ruggedness by modifying technology with new TCAD models
Work in TCAD environments such as Synopsys Sentaurus to develop and deploy TCAD to SPICE modeling environments
Work with SPICE like simulators (Simetrix, LTspice, PSpice, Simplorer, others).
Working with other FEM environments such as ANSYS
Support new technology R&D through predictive modeling.
Develop, evaluate, and support implementation of new characterization and extraction methods.
Contribute to a continual improvement environment including automation and scripting with Python.
Document characterization and modeling work according to established procedures.



Required Qualifications:
MS Degree in Electrical Engineering/Physics with semiconductor emphasis plus 0-2 years of experience.
In-depth understanding of semiconductor device physics
Solid experience with TCAD simulation
UNIX/LINUX experience is desired
Python programming experience is desired
Strong English communication capability
Strong desire and capability to learn
Excellent team player


Preferred Qualification:
Previous experience with SPICE circuit simulation is a plus
Basic knowledge on power circuits is a plus
Previous experience and understanding of power discretes and IC technologies is a plus
Previous experience with ANSYS tools is a plus Visa mindre
