Duties and responsibilities of the role:
The role of an Associate involves the application of economic concepts in relation to competition policy issues. Key responsibilities include:
Providing general consulting advice and assistance in relation to economics and competition issues researching and evaluating key industry dynamics;
Applying quantitative and qualitative techniques to analytical problems;
Providing advice and assistance in respect of economic and competition analysis;
Using economic formulas and models to provide information required for decision making;
Reviewing, summarising and analysing data, including data cleaning, the analysis of market shares, consumer behaviour, profitability, demand estimation and other econometric analysis;
Researching and summarizing economic literature;
Written communications, both internal and external, including emails, notes, assisting in drafting of responses to Requests for Information;
Drafting short documents and sections of longer economic reports that provide advice or expert economic opinions on competition law and policy matters ;
Participation in meetings, either remotely or in person, with lawyers and clients.



Requirements
A degree in economics, preferably to Masters level
Must have an interest in microeconomics, industrial organisation or econometrics
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Able to meet multiple deadlines and work with multi-faceted and demanding clients Visa mindre

RBB Economics offers part time position as an administrative coordinator for our Nordic offices

Who are we?
RBB Economics is an independent economic consultancy specialising in competition policy. We are one of the largest competition economics practices in the world, with offices in London, Brussels, Dusseldorf, The Hague, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Madrid, Melbourne, Paris, Oslo, Helsinki, and Stockholm.


What would your tasks be?
We are looking for a part-time administrative coordinator to support our Nordic offices in Stockholm, Helsinki, and Oslo. Your tasks would include:


1. Administrating and coordinating with external suppliers on compensation and obligations of Nordic staff (e.g. any issues around local public holidays, follow-up on salary or payslips, local perks etc.).


2. Being the administrative contact between the Nordic offices and our administrative staff in our headquarter in London. This would for instance include day to day processing of bills.


3. Serve as a point of coordination for our potential new joiners, for instance following up with London administration on interview status, status on preparing contracts, and providing new joiners with general info (e.g., bank recommendations for non-Swedes in Stockholm).


4. Organising events, both RBB socials and for event including external parties, tasks include; booking venues, catering, printing/preparing marketing materials.


5. Being the Nordic offices contact person for property managers of each office, printer providers, cleaning providers etc.


6. Management and ordering of IT equipment and other office equipment (e.g., laptops, phones, chairs, desks, kitchen equipment).


7. Managing office subscriptions including fruit baskets, coffee/milk, news papers.



Our requirements


We are looking for someone with fluent or working proficiency in Swedish and English. Being able to comfortably communicate with speakers of Norwegian and Danish is also prefereable, and Finnish would be a plus . The role requires the ability to work independently and take initiative.
