THE OPPORTUNITY
The Senior Coordinator is expected to oversee and facilitate activities to improve quality of Save the Children’s child protection humanitarian programmes in collaboration with relevant colleagues and stakeholders within and outside Save the Children. It further includes representing Save the Children in interagency child protection fora. 50 percent of the time is specifically committed to co-leading the revision and roll-out of the Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (CPMS), in close collaboration with the Terre des hommes CPMS co-lead.

TO BE SUCCESFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU'LL BRING
In order to be successful in this role you'll bring a master’s degree in Political or Social Science or equivialent expertise. Practical experience and in-depth knowledge of humanitarian contexts, as well as proven knowledge and practical use of the CPMS, is a requirement. We are expecting you to have at least 7 years of experience in the sector, including in direct humanitarian responses, as well as experience from interagency Child Protection coordination. A strong candidate has also led Child Protection coordination groups, e.g. sub-clusters. Fluency in English is a requirement, and additional language skills in Swedish, French, Spanish and/or Arabic are preferable.

Benificial qualifications are in-depth knowledge of humanitarian contexts, Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law, as well as familiarity with humanitarian standards in general.
