Job Description
We are looking for a uniquely qualified Head of Product Development to drive the design and execution of our AI-powered SaaS platforms. This role requires an exceptional blend of advanced technical expertise, strategic leadership, and hands-on development capabilities across multiple layers of the technology stack.
You will lead cross-functional teams in multiple time zones and push the limits of product innovation across machine learning, distributed systems, behavioral analytics, and sales technology.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement organizational best practices in DevSecOps, MLOps, and FinOps
Lead and manage the product development lifecycle from concept to deployment
Champion ISO27001/ISO42001-level data security, privacy, and compliance across regions
Define product vision and translate it into executable development plans
Collaborate with stakeholders across countries to align business goals with technical delivery
Mentor and guide a multi-disciplinary team of developers and designers
Implement best practices in agile, CI/CD, and user-centered design
Monitor industry trends and ensure product competitiveness
Architect and oversee the complete product lifecycle from conceptualization to release
Design AI-first product features using federated and explainable ML models
Lead integration of behavioral-based analytics, geospatial targeting, and generative AI
Manage code quality and system reliability in high-throughput, globally distributed systems
Coordinate with C-suite executives, researchers, and clients across 4 continents
Required Qualifications
9+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering and product leadership
Demonstrable experience building products with the following technologies and languages:
Programming languages: Haskell, Rust, Elixir, Julia, Erlang, Scala, OCaml, Clojure
Frontend frameworks: SvelteKit, SolidJS, Elm
Backend frameworks: Phoenix (Elixir), Akka (Scala), Actix (Rust), NestJS (TypeScript)
AI/ML frameworks: JAX, Hugging Face Transformers, TensorFlow Federated, Ludwig, MLflow, PyCaret
Data engineering stacks: Apache Flink, Druid, Pinot, Presto, Kafka Streams, ClickHouse
Infrastructure-as-code: Pulumi (in Go), CDK (in Python), Terraform Enterprise
Databases: FaunaDB, CockroachDB, ScyllaDB, ArangoDB, CrateDB, TimescaleDB
DevOps & MLOps: Kubeflow, ArgoCD, Tinkerbell, HashiCorp Nomad, Spinnaker
Security: Experience with Zero Trust Architecture, homomorphic encryption, and secure enclave computing (e.g., Intel SGX)
Deep understanding of event sourcing, actor-model architectures, and CRDT-based systems
Fluency in English (both technical and business). Proficiency in Swedish, German, or Japanese is a plus.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Computational Linguistics from a top-100 global university
Preferred Qualifications
Previous leadership of a team contributing to open-source AI infrastructure projects
Experience scaling B2B enterprise SaaS platforms to 100K+ daily active users
Contributor to standards bodies (e.g., W3C, ISO, IEEE)
Previous work in highly regulated industries (e.g., biotech, or fintech)
Familiarity with neuro-symbolic reasoning systems or differentiable programming
Experience developing for air-gapped or zero-connectivity deployments
