Job Description
The Network and Edge (NEX) group is looking to expand the performance and optimization group.
The work will include C/C++ based software performance analysis and optimization for Intel based CPUs. The work mainly focuses on Linux based development tools but also includes internal simulators and tools related to such.
This work requires a good understanding of computer architecture and CPU microarchitecture, along with close customer collaboration.



Responsibilities include:
Analyze and optimize software, internal and external code, primarily C/C++. Including documenting and presenting improvement proposals (Word / PowerPoint)
Analyze hardware bottlenecks and how these can be resolved, both in software and with changes to future hardware.
Work with customers on performance-related support aspects, guide them through issues and questions.

Job Description:
The Gaming and Category team is responsible for creating and executing Intel's sales strategy and meeting revenue targets with customers worldwide. The Gaming Category Sales Lead will lead a virtual 4P team to develop Intel's gaming sales strategy. Gaming Category Sales Lead will interface regularly with the CCG BU leaders driving Intel products relevant to Gaming, interface with OEM sales teams to enable OEM designs and sales, and interface with marketing for coordinated sales and marketing strategies.
Responsibilities may include:
Revenue performance to plan, goal setting, and operations identifying ways to maximize revenue for the CCG PnL.
Analysis of gaming market and industry trends, customer needs, competition, and primary economic levers in order to build a customer and ecosystem portfolio for gaming globally.
Leadership of the Gaming sales strategies and business processes to deliver strategy.
Ownership and accountability for the Salesforce pipeline that tracks the design win activity needed to put us on track to deliver to the long-range revenue target and strategic account goals.
Close collaboration with CCG on product development and product management including market and customer research, product requirements, product development, product pricing, and product life-cycle management.
Management of Gaming-related budgets and resource allocation across the CCG sales teams.
Managing the relationship between Intel and customers by establishing and cultivating relationships with key individuals at accounts.
Develop relationships with distributors and engage distributor resources in support of assigned accounts.
Identify and develop new opportunities within assigned accounts.
Ensure that goals are consistent with Intel's strategic direction of: (1) maximizing the business with assigned accounts over the short and long term and (2) increasing the preference for Intel architectures among assigned customers.
Responsible for meeting or exceeding assigned annual billings and design win quotas in conjunction with the Field Applications Engineer.
Communicate strategies to appropriate field and factory personnel to obtain required support and coordination.
Develop a clear understanding of Intel's business practices including pricing, forecasting, terms and conditions, distribution and code of ethics.

Software Engineers in the SATG/S3E/SSC group design, implement and integrate detailed functional and timing approximate simulation frameworks, tools and models of computer systems in close collaboration with the groups that design and develop these computer systems. The simulation environment is used by other groups to implement BIOS, other firmware, compilers and OS support well in advance (e.g. 1-2 years) of any actual silicon being available as well as for profiling, validation and power estimation.


The relevant technology areas for the Simics teams in Stockholm, include computer architecture, cross-platform binary translation interpreter technology, compiler technology, domain specific languages, simulator infrastructure, user interfaces, simulation modeling tools, simulation model development/integration, debuggers, software and hardware analysis and virtual machine configuration.


Qualifications


The candidate needs to have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
A successful candidate would be a strong and curious programmer with solid communication and problem-solving skills.
