Here is what we will give you as an opportunity to work with when you join as a Senior Health Innovator.
New Product and Service discovery together with the Engineering Team
Pilot and implementation of new products and services in different countries
Capacity building of Country Health Innovators to scale up new products and services
Relationship building and management with Government Agencies

That’s why we look for someone who has the following qualifications at a minimum:
Constantly makes sense of the environment and refines actions based on improved knowledge
Deep understanding of healthcare actors at a global level
Ability to adapt and get things done in uncertain/unknown environments
Have been implementing new innovations that replaced the old system at the pilot or national level
Systems thinking ability proven in practice
Proactive in resolving issues



If you are not afraid and curious, you will thrive at Shifo. The more questions you ask, the more you increase sense-making and refine your actions. If you have the following qualifications, then you are already a Shifonian:
Don’t care about external approval and prefers to say sorry rather than asking for permission before taking actions
Good understanding of human psychology and how to motivate people
Understanding of different cultures, human behaviour and incentive mechanisms
Have been developing and implementing healthcare or fintech innovations at scale
Continuously develops observation skills
Practical experience working in 1 of the Shifo priority countries
Good understanding of how to collaborate with Government Agencies
Proven experience in making the lives of front-line health workers easier and more rewarding



You will go far if you don’t care about who gets the credit. And we know it. Shifonians are the people who do the job and are happy when our partners get all the credit. Because we care about the impact, not who gets the credit. And know this. When you join this organisation, you will join people who deeply understand the pains and headaches of Frontline Health Workers. What we expect from you:
* team play. We expect that you understand the value of being humble, kind and supportive to other team members and want to share your knowledge with them.

* ability to think independently. There is no one who will be telling you how to do your job. We are our own customers, working for the end goal. But we will do our best to help you in your struggles.
* discipline and time management. No one will be doing it for you, and the tasks need to be done in time.
* good expertise in full-stack software development. There are not so many developers at Shifo, so you should be able to implement tasks from the ground up by your own. Our current team has experience in software development from system kernels up to clouds and web interfaces, so you will have a good company.
* understanding of what makes a good software. Basic concepts of UX are appreciated.
* solid work experience. We think that you should have at least 6 years of experience in software development, but you can easily disprove it with your knowledge and passion.


* currently we use Docker containers with Pythons, Pandas and Elephants (meaning Postgre), and ReactJS, and we run Scrum, so we expect that you want to work with these. We don't expect you to know every piece of it though, as we believe a good Software Developer is technology-agnostic, and we are ready to share our knowledge with you.


* experience with Linux and Windows. We use Mac OS for development, but we have our servers, you know.
* desire to be located in Stockholm, Sweden, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Some of our team members work remotely, but we want more technical people for our office. We will handle a working visa for you, if you need it.
* focus on doing the right things and doing them right.
* English language, of course.
