Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Service Engineer to join our Service & Support team in Nordics. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Elemental Scientific Instruments' products. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and commission scientific instruments at customer sites.
Perform routine maintenance and preventive service tasks.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment issues efficiently.
Provide technical support to customers, addressing their concerns and queries.
Ensure all service activities are documented accurately and in a timely manner.
Work closely with the engineering and product teams to provide feedback and improvement suggestions.
Travel to customer locations as required for on-site visits and installations.
Maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as a Service Engineer or in a similar technical support role.
Familiarity with scientific instruments, preferably in analytical or laboratory environments.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with customers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel as required for installations and service calls.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with calibration and performance testing of scientific instruments.
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and software systems related to scientific instruments.
