A well established contemporary art gallery in Stockholm is looking for a Gallery Manager.
This is a diverse role, with the successful candidate supporting the day-to-day gallery operations including welcoming visitors, fielding questions about the gallery and the exhibitions, and maintaining exhibition and sales documents. The role will be both client and artist facing and will include assisting with logistics and shipping, as well as certain administrative and design tasks as well as some sales and assisting in exhibition development and organisation. The candidate will report to the Gallery Directors.
This will be a part time role, with initial working time of 3 days per week including occasional Saturday working as well.
The ideal candidate will be poised and professional, an excellent communicator with strong administrative and organizational skills. They will need to be well organised and able to manage their time efficiently and should have strong personal as well as digital & social media experience.
Previous experience working in a contemporary art gallery is desired
Responsibilities include but are not restricted to:
· - Maintaining all gallery inventory databases
· - Answering client requests both online and in the gallery
· - Website updating
· - Assisting with gallery sales
· - Ongoing communication between gallery and Artists/Galleries for exhibition organisation
· - Liasing and generating press for the gallery programmne
· - Creating and sending gallery emailers
· - Managing client database
