In this senior role, you will lead contract strategy and administration across multiple projects, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and project teams while supporting strong commercial outcomes and continuous improvement across our portfolio.

What you will do:
Lead and manage contract administration activities across complex construction and capital projects, acting as a senior commercial advisor within project teams.
Develop and implement project-specific contract management strategies aligned with procurement approaches and client objectives.
Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a wide range of contracts (consultants, contractors, suppliers, and specialist subcontractors).
Advise clients and project teams on contractual rights, obligations, risks, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage change control processes, including early warnings, compensation events, claims, variations, and dispute avoidance.
Work closely with Project Managers, Cost Managers, and Project Controls to ensure contractual compliance and alignment with cost, schedule, and risk objectives.
Support and guide junior contract managers and wider project teams through mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing.
Maintain robust contract documentation, correspondence records, and audit trails to ensure transparency and traceability.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned across client projects, supporting the development of effective and consistent contract management practices.
Liaise with client legal, procurement, and commercial teams as required to resolve contractual matters effectively.
Support business development activities by providing contractual input during bids, tenders, and project setup phases


What you will bring:
Required:
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Law.
Proven experience and knowledge in contracts management.

Prepare detailed cost estimates and cost plans aligned with client and project objectives.
Conduct site measurements, quantify completed works, and value actual progress across labour, materials, and equipment.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate and consistent quantity assessments.
Monitor and control work package costs, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Review and integrate cost data into central cost control systems for wider project reporting.
Manage and maintain contract documentation and payments, including contractor billing.
Review and negotiate contractor variation proposals and claims, ensuring compliance with contract terms and securing the best value for the client.
Identify and mitigate financial risks, propose cost-saving strategies, and ensure value for money.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for financial performance tracking and reporting.

What You Bring
Required:
7+ years of experience in cost estimation, financial control, and contract administration within complex construction environments.

Excellent communication skills for managing relationships with contractors, suppliers, and clients.
Proficiency in quantity surveying and cost management software.
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, pricing, lifecycle cost analysis, and procurement procedures.

Work with our project teams to commercially lead projects through their objectives. Taking responsibility to deliver the agreed results, coordinated with the team.
Apply an agile and flexible approach and use effective communication to project team members, stakeholders, and users in a timely and clear fashion.
Assisting with various aspects of daily project work as requested by your line manager, which can include preparation of estimates and cost plans for variety of building projects, budgeting, cost management and forecasting.
Manage project risks and work with the project team to create mitigation plans.



What you will bring
Required:
2-5+ years’ experience working as CM/QS on construction projects
Professional proficiency in English
Basic proficiency in a Scandinavian language (B1, B2 or above)
Chartered status (AssocRICS, MRICS) or similar, or in the process of seeking chartered status

Preferred:
Construction related degree (Quantity Surveyor, Architect, Civil Engineer, or similar)
Previous experience working in a client-facing role
International experience (either for international clients in Sweden or work abroad)
BAS-P, BAS-U (or equivalent) certification

About the role
In this role, you are responsible for managing and lead our team of quantity surveyors in Sweden and to maintain expected performance to ensure company commercial interests and targets are met. The role responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Ensure the QS team is provided with the required skills, knowledge and experience and all the necessary tools to meet current and future challenges.
Ensure robust, accurate, and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business level
Carry out cost management including forecasting
Update the monthly reports, cost, and commercial plans and have accountability, along with the project team for the commercial performance and strategy

Degree in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent

Aurora was established in 2017 following the management buy-out of the Nordic arm of premium UK global consultancy. About the role
In this role, you are responsible for managing and lead our team of quantity surveyors in Sweden and to maintain expected performance to ensure company commercial interests and targets are met. The role responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Ensure the QS team is provided with the required skills, knowledge and experience and all the necessary tools to meet current and future challenges.
Ensure robust, accurate, and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business level
Carry out cost management including forecasting
Update the monthly reports, cost, and commercial plans and have accountability, along with the project team for the commercial performance and strategy
Ensure that good client relationships are developed and maintained



Role requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent
Extensive experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry
Knowledge of current Construction Law
Extensive experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors, including chairing regular meetings, measurement and control cycle, certificates and accruals calculations
Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis
Ability to encourage and support members of the team Visa mindre
