We're seeking a UX designer with following experience:
At minimum, a Bachelors degree in Design, Human Behaviour, Interaction design or equivalent
2-5 years proven experience in UX design with projects showcasing user-centered solutions
At Above we work with both digital and physical products. As a UX Designer, you may work across both digital and physical products - please state your experience within this area in your application
Fluent in English, Swedish a plus
Work from the office or client site at least 3 days a week
Located in Stockholm

What you'll be doing:
Apply a systems thinking to see birds-eye views on existing eco-systems, products & services as well as understanding how the small things affect the bigger picture.
Analyse and understand service architectures from user and organizational perspective to see both front-end and back-end actions of services and eco-systems.
Conduct user research to define research questionnaires, specify both primary and secondary research methods needed in both qualitative and quantitative scenarios.
Triangulating both quantitative and qualitative data to form insights and create synthesises and design challenges to be used in both incremental improvement, conceptualisation and innovation hypotheses.
Apply a behaviour design understanding to analyze what key behaviours we need to change or grow to create valuable, sustainable and profitable services and eco-systems.

About the position
Great user experience is essential in creating products that are intuitive, functional & inclusive, but also inspired and magical. The job of an Experience Designer at Above is to thoughtfully craft meaningful experiences surrounding interactive physical products and hardware.
You will typically work in cross functional teams working closely together with both industrial- and digital designers, technologists and engineers. Your responsibilities will range from designing seamless and magical product interactions, to exploring and visualizing future experience visions.
Ideating on every facet of the product experience, from strategic visions to micro interactions
Exploring tech enablers, from current trends to future possibilities
Defining product semantics, from overall functionality to detailed user interfaces
Building prototypes, both early product archetypes and quick, low fidelity functional models
Communicating user experiences, through engaging storytelling and compelling visualizations
Synthesizing insights, from user research to actionable solutions

Your background
We mostly work with consumer products - so you should be interested in the world of user experience design. A lot of our work is prototyping experiences that live across digital and physical – so you should have some experience with coding and perhaps one or two prototyping tools (Figma, ProtoPie, Unity, TouchDesigner..). Beyond that, this role will be shaped by you and us together. We are super curious to see what new facets you could add to our work.
Too vague? Here are some general qualities that we'll be looking for:
An inspiring portfolio with solid conceptual thinking and applied technology
Good communication skills
Demonstrated skills in coding, electronics, robotics or another 'technological' field
